3 weeks out - so nauseated
haleytrim replied to txdogmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What about your liquids? I've heard that you will get really nauseas if you are getting dehydrated. I am anxious to hear from some of the vets on this as it is a concern of mine. I have what my family would call a weak stomach, so I worry about nausea when I have my surgery. I will be watching for your solution too. -
Hair today, gone tomorrow
haleytrim replied to SherB's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just talked to my hairdresser today about this same thing. She suggested Biotin, which you are already taking. She also advised me to drink a cup of tea with a tablespoon of organic coconut oil and some honey to taste twice a day. She also says that she does a coconut oil hair treatment once a week. Couldn't hurt. -

Getting close to where I plateaued before
haleytrim replied to amper02's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Amper, you have some real help now where you didn't before. Even when you hit those stalls, your sleeve will keep you from that frustration binging. You still have to make the right choices, but you have that tool to help. You've got this handled. Just keep doing what you are doing and if you need some encouragement, you've come to the right web No apology necessary Rog. The stalls are what trip up many of us. I have set that article as a favorite. Thanks for repeating. -

second thoughts about the surgery :(
haleytrim replied to crazystacy81's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Make a list of the possibilities if you have the surgery. Now make a list of possibilities if you don't. Don't forget to list all the negative health issues. Take a look at the possible effects of diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol on the internet. I don't mean to be a prophet of doom, but I am pretty sure the odds of me dying from complications of obesity far outweigh the odds of me dying from complications of WLS. Good luck with your decision. -
Starting pre-op Liquid Diet

Hey Skinny, 2 1/2 days down 14 1/2 to go! LOL Watching the calendar and seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. How are you doing? -
Updated before/during pics :)
haleytrim replied to Mrs.RRn's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Well Ms. Awesomeness, you are certainly doing fine. You look wonderful and it looks like you feel that way. Your success is inspirational. Thanks for posting. -
Take a look at one of the surgeries on You Tube. It only makes a sleeve because it takes off the large bulge part of your stomach. Everything else remains the same unless you have a hiatal hernia that needs fixing and that is only closing up a hole. I may be over simplifying, but you get the idea. Good luck with your choosing.

WOW! 8 pounds in 10 days! I'm thinking woo hoo! I hope mine is that much when I get my sleeve this month! You are doing great.

Whoa! there Par...dner! A little sensitivity goes a long way! And it could be that as little as we can eat, fat free wouldn't be necessary. See Lexie's post. -

My surgery is scheduled for November 17th, two weeks from today. Man, that sounds scarry! LOL Nice to meet you too. I am going out on a limb and assume that is your daughter in the pic with you. She is a beautiful little girl and you "marked" her well because she looks just like you.
