Just keep a positive attitude. Follow your doctor's orders exactly and drink and walk as much as you can. Sending prayers up for you and your surgeons.

Outpatient Sleeve Surgery Yesterday

@@Elode What kind of coconut water? -
That was a really big concern for me as my insurance does not cover any weight loss treatment and will not cover any complications caused by weight loss surgery. I am 5 days post op from Mexico and everything has been text book. Thank the Good Lord and everyone on here who sent prayers up for me. Anyway, I will see my GP for BP and endocrinologist for diabetes, and hope for the best. As for my surgeon in Mexico, Dr. jaime Ponce de leon has a great team and I couldn't have been in better hands. I had the sleeve, gallbladder removal, and a small hernia repaired. The Docs and nurses at INT Hospital said I did better with my 3 procedures than most people do with just the one procedure.

daughters concerns
haleytrim replied to Bubba's Mom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From experience... My daughter lives close, is a Nurse Practitioner and is a very good one. However, since she has very little or no experience treating obesity, was woefully short on information about WLS. She hit the roof when I told her and really had a cat when I told her my insurance excluded weight loss treatment and I am going to Mexico. We talked and I promised to reconsider if she would do some research and would also talk to the doctor that she works with who is a crackerjack Cardiologist. She read and researched and consulted as we agreed and she came back to me not only on board with my plans, but with more positive information than you can imagine. As for the Mexico part, her doctor is from India and he reminded her that there are great physicians all over the world and that many people go out of country to get the best! Information and communication is the key. -

Midwestgirl said it all very well. You wouldn't be the great mom that you are if you weren't thinking about your kids at a time like this. Prayers going up that God will keep his hand on you and your surgeon and you will come through fine and be the best mom you can be. Hugs. -

Surgery is tomorrow! I'm freaking out!
haleytrim replied to Cassiopeia's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That is EXACTLY how I feel. Even if it works for a million other people, it won't work for me. Wonder if this could have something to do with not feeling "worthy" because of being obese for so long. Hmmmm.... -
Toughest thing I've ever done! Praying a LOT!!! Can't wait to not be hungry.
