Regarding slippage: I was banded Sept 13, 07. Within 13 lbs of goal and dx today with stomach slipped up through the stoma. All fluid removed --in 2 wks hope to start fluid

Hi Mandi and other Sept 07 bandsters: I am in your group. Having trouble swallowing air when I drink, I think. Lots of restriction that didn't come until 2 weeks after 3rd fill. Have lost 32 lbs. as of today. Bought 42g tubes of liquid Protein so I won't have to drink so much b/c it hurts--don't want to throw up. Trying hot tea b/f I eat/drink anything. I had the exact thing happen. I called after 4 days and asked for more to be put in. They said they would not do it this soon and would call back. They didn't call. The next day restriction started and has continued for almost 2 weeks. Curious as to why but I am now slowly losing again. Who knows what this pattern is. I think this may be the way that restriction works for me. At first it is not there then WHAM!! dianneslim

I have new sz. small, 10 cc band: banded in Dallas, Sept. 13, 07 Dr. Felts. Loss 25 lbs. 198/173/135 stats. Left surgery with 5.5 in band, added .7 cc on first fill. 2nd fill to a total of 7.2 sometimes feel intense restriction then other days, nothing. It took about 4 days to feel some restriction. Will go for 3rd fill Nov 28th. I am definitely on the slow-loser track but I am losing so I'll take that b/c I am 64 and feel a sluggish metabolism b/c of age, thyroid, 6 grandkids, lol!!! Loving the band.

Activia has been my solution also. Some protein. I have to eat this yogurt only every other day b/c of TOO regular!! It may take a couple of days to work like this for you, but I took Metamucil and worried about that big 'clump' of stuff sitting in my little new stomach!!

You will do great!! This is something you do for yourself. I told far too many people and now even after losing 25 lbs., they cannot tell I have lost--They will be spring--lol Good luck to you. Only talk with people who are supportive and read how others are doing at this web site.

I'm feeling SOME restriction but not to that 'sweet spot' yet where losing is regular. I have new band that's 10 cc. Banded Sept 13, 07. At first fill, left with 6.4 cc; 2nd fill 7.2 cc. Go Nov 28th for 3rd fill. I had 5.5 cc when I left surgery but did not know it. Dr. is Dr. Felts with lapband solutions. 198/175/135 (goal)

I was banded Sept 13th. I have 10 cc band with total of 6.4 cc in now. Waiting for next fill Tues. Nov 6th. I understand it sometimes takes a few fills. I'm ready!! dianne

My dr. has me on 'full liquids' for 24 then mushies for the next 24 after a fill. Had no problems. First fill. Still waiting for the magic--ha. dianne
