  4. Yeah, i think i just need to chew more thoroughly and stop eating once i feel full...i still haven't mastered that yet. I'm just worried that my pouch has stretched. I have a 10cc band which is full at the moment to 6.5cc (i'm pretty sure) next time i go in i might get it set to 7cc...see how that goes, but i will have to master chewing thoroughly first! Thanks for the advice, it's much appreciated! :puke: Is great to have people on here to discuss things with. So thanks again!
  5. Yeah, well i'm just waiting on hearing back from my surgeon. Waiting on an x-ray as well to see if it's slipped or if it's stretched. So hopefully that will give me some peace of mind. I don't want to get too much more fill as i find it difficult to eat things at the moment with it filled to 6.5cc but might get it put up to 7cc for a while til i lose more. Thanks for your advice! :puke:
  6. I was just wondering if anyone knows how to tell if your band has slipped or stretched? I've been banded now for about 4 months and have gradually been able to eat nearly the same amount of food as i could before the operation. I was losing about 1kg - 2kgs a week and now i'm lucky if i lose 1kg a week. I've been staying the same. I haven't been exercising as much and have been eating the wrong things sometimes but should still be losing it. I have about 6.5cc in my band and shouldn't be able to eat much at all! I'm wondering if i've stretched it or if it's slipped somehow. I'm currently waiting for an x-ray and to see my surgeon about it but until then i was wondering if anyone could help. A couple of questions

Hi, i had my lap band put in on the 3rd October and am recovering well. I stayed on liquids for about 4 days then went to soft foods like mashed potato & carrot with peas and corn and found that was easy to eat, and have been also been eating cruskits and vegemite and shepards pie and things like that. I even had nachos, taco's and burritos the othe night...a little of each. My food intake has been cut down by about a third already and i don't have Fluid in the band. I'm still sore where the port is because i spose my body has to get use to the foreign object in there...but all is well. I'm also a smoker and stopped smoking the day of the operation! I didn't smoke for about a week but have started again, although not as much as i use to smoke...i'm going to quit in the next month, so i'm on the way to being healthy! Looking forward to the future ahead for myself!
  8. Hi All, Just wanted to know how many other people were banded on the 3rd Octoer at St John Of God Murdoch by Dr Stephen Watson? Would be interested to know how your recovery is going. I just had the staples out today and met 2 nice ladies in the waiting room who had it done on the same day who seem to be recovering quite well...i'm still a little sore...but only where the port is...i'm hoping this will subside soon as i would love to be able to sleep on my stomach again!!! :notagree I ate some chunky lamb shank and vegetable Soup for dinner which was good...am able to eat normal food again! :hungry: Anyway i would love to hear from you...
