Whoohoo!! Got my date for plastic surgery :thumbdown:. It all happens on Monday, 7th December. It's going to be a long wait but at the same time, I'll bet it goes really quickly. I have to lose a minimum of 10kg (22lb) before then - six months to do it, so it is eminently possible! Just have to get seriously back on the program again...

At this stage, I'm trying to book a December or January date, but it will be tricky as I need the theatre for the full day (9 hour surgery!) and apparently Dr Allbrook only has one day a month where he gets the theatre for the whole day. I really need to do it around the Xmas break, so that I can minimise my time off from work - I'm a contractor and if I don't work, I don't get paid, no sick leave, etc. So...six months to lose 10kg and then I can get my new body!! Can't wait!!

Yup, you can pay to have someone wax it all... My local salon has one woman who specialises in the brazillian (the other girls just do legs and armpits) and she is awesome. She does the whole lot and at the end, gets you to lie on your side with one knee drawn up while she does the "back" (which doesn't hurt as much as it sounds like it would...). The results are wonderful. I don't know what prices are like in the US, but my salon charges $25 (AUD) for half leg, $15 for armpits and $35 for the brazillian, so for $75 a month, I am smooooooooooth all over

Ha!! The only reason you are staying under that glass ceiling is so that you can look up the skirts of the women who've climbed above you!!!

I'm back at Argyle for my last swing before starting the new job. As it turns out, I had fortuitously arranged for my parents to come and visit the mine site this week (as they were travelling through the area on holiday). I took yesterday and today off work and we have spent the time looking around the area and doing some serious birdwatching. I've been able to give my new camera a real workout and got some great bird pics! LOL - the nekkid part of the beach was further up, past a bunch of rocks and taking photos of the nekkid people is considered VERY bad manners! You'll just have to content yourself with thoughts of my nekkid boobies floating in the salt water... :grouphug: (I LOVE how boobies float!!)

Oooh! With everyone who's been having employment troubles lately finally finding some light at the end of their tunnels, I think I can safely post this without being insensitive to other people's problems: New job for me!! After over 2 years at Argyle, I'm ready to move on and have secured a new 6 month contract based in Perth, so no more FlyIn/FlyOut after this swing! Argyle were offering more work after my current contract but they've been dithering about it for months, wouldn't put it in writing and were quibbling over my rates. I've been semi-looking for other work all year and got a reply last week to an application that I had put in a few months ago. I was on site at the time, so did a phone interview, which went well. They wanted to meet face-to-face, so I ended up doing the irl interview on the Tuesday morning before I flew to Broome in the afternoon (2/6/09). I got the word on over this weekend that I was successful and they want me to start before July. This will be my last swing at Argyle - I'll miss the place a lot I think, but I'm really over FIFO and want to be home full time for the next 6 months at least, while I get this house thing sorted out (more delays there, ARGH!). I've now got to write to the people at Argyle that were offering me work but wouldn't commit in writing, to say "too late, you snooze, you lose!"

Believe me, Plain, surprise buttsex is only funny when it happens to someone else. When it happens to you, it HURTS!!

Gotta love waxing... got the legs, armpits and fanny done the day before I left for Broome and was able to spend the week nekkid on the beach with no worries about stubble. Even now (9 days later), I'm still smooth, smooth, smooth... With shaving, the stubble gets scratchy within HOURS let alone days and days... (PS: Heheh - Fanny waxed her fanny :grouphug:. For my US friends, the word "fanny" DownUnder means your veejayjay, not your butt ).

Hi folks, I'm back!! Got home from Broome at midday today, home just long enough to unpack my holiday suitcase and repack with work clothes, have one cup of coffee and then off back to the airport and back to Argyle. What a great week - weather was perfect, the room was great, the sunsets were fabulous... did all the fun things - got my camel ride, got nekkid on the beach with my man, went fishing, went ocean kayaking, went up to Windjanna Gorge and saw more crocodiles (Chris's first ones in the wild!), took some great pics! Jennifer, you have nothing to worry about. Yes, you do need to be careful when healing, just as you would with any wound that has cut through muscle and skin and has stitches. You may find that it takes a while before it feels 100% though, especially where the port is stitched to the stomach muscles. That can pull and hurt a long time after the rest has healed. Once is it fully recovered though, there's no way you could hurt it with rough sex - believe me, I know *winks*

So Susan, are you all smoooooooth yet? I'm going in for mine at 11am today. Gotta be all clean and smooth to go nudie sunbathing on the beach at Broome!!

Got home from site yesterday afternoon and had a wonderful evening with my man... I am so in love it makes me want to cry sometimes :smile: And what a day I have lined up for today!! I have a job interview at 9:30am (based in Perth so no more FlyIn/FlyOut to Argyle each week). I go to the salon for waxing (legs, armpits, brazillian) at 11am so I won't be all hairy on the beach at Broome, and my favourite designer is having a 70% off sale starting today, so I HAVE to go or I'll miss out! We're going to try to squeeze that in on the way to the airport at 2pm, then off to Broome at 3! I don't know if you folk have heard of Ruth Tarvydas but she had 3 dresses worn on the red carpet at the Academy Awards this year, and is pretty well known. She started in Perth about 30 years ago and I bought my first ever designer original from her shop - wore it to death for the next 10 years. I want another dress like that!! Man, I'm going to be knackered tonight!

Just posting to say that, having been recently reminded, I do it because IT FEELS GOOOOOOOOD!!!!! @Kristine: I don't blame you for dumping the man for pulling the surprise buttsex trick - I am into anal AND into pain but I can't cope with the sneak attack. It HURTS LIKE HELL done that way! Done right, it is intense pleasure; done wrong, intense pain...

Whoohoo - I fly home from site today and off to Broome tomorrow!!! Beaches, camel rides and sunsets, here I come!!!!
