  1. Thanks so much for the responses...
  2. I have developed arthritis in my shoulders... I went to my doctor, he knows about my sleeve and knows I'm not supposed to take NSAIDs... He has prescribed Celebrex to me and said this medication will not cause stomach upset... I have not yet got the medication, but I'm wondering if I should take it since he prescribed or request to be referred to a rheumatologist. Would like your opinions.

Someone suggested to me to stretch and use a foam roller. That foam roller did wonders for the soreness.

What do you take? Soreness without Advil

I meant to put that I had the sleeve. Thanks for replying inner and Ava. Ava, I'm going to check that out and talk with doctor. That would be great to get the NSAIDs back.
  6. Can't take advil or other NSAIDs, so what do you take for the soreness? I just started lifting weights (trying to get buff LOL). I am very sore from lifting, but don't know what I can take to relieve the soreness. Looking for suggestions.
  7. My wife made some turkey for Thanksgiving and because we have both had the sleeve, we had plenty of leftovers. Now I've been trying to find ways to get my Protein and been very bored with chicken, fish, and turkey. My wife decided to make a pot pie with the leftover turkey and threw some things together and it was delicious. It made 3 days worth of meals and I loved every one of those meals. I decided today to try it without pie crust to see if it would be as good. It is fantastic so thought I'd share and see what you thought. It takes about 6 minutes to put it all together and will last a few days. Ingredients: 10 oz can of turkey (or same size chicken if you prefer) 10 oz bag of steamable frozen mixed vegetables (I use the Birdseye) 1 can of cream of chicken Soup 1 cup of shredded cheese Put the mixed vegetables in the microwave to steam according to package instructions Drain the canned turkey and mix with all the other ingredients in a bowl, mix well Add the mixed vegetables after they complete microwaving and have set the suggested 1 minute. Mix again Take a portion to heat in microwave and refrigerate the rest for more meals.
  8. Yes, fortunately I was home in bed when it started.
  9. Definitely learned a lesson here @@Luvin_Life125 I will certainly think twice before eating sweets.
  10. I have discovered late dumping syndrome now. Went to a nephew's birthday party last week and ate some cake and ice cream along with everyone else. Few hours later at home, got to feeling very shaky, anxious, sweating profusely. I'm not diabetic, wife has type 2 diabetes so we checked my blood sugar with her monitor and my blood sugar was at 39.
  11. Maybe I should say bored with trying to find something you want to eat. Tired of chicken, fish, turkey, and eggs. The only red meat I like is ground meat. Tried Protein bars for when just nothing sounded good, but those turned out to be (can't think of the term) something that started causing cravings. I eat greek yogurt for lunches at work. May just have to make me a chart with meats to eat for that day instead of trying to think of something that sounds good.

    PROTEIN SHAKES

I like the Cellucor Protein powder. Generally get the cinnamon swirl and smores. Mixes very easily with Water and great taste.

    Help with constipation

I've been told that if I go 2 to 3 days without a BM to start taking Miralax.
  14. I had to crush too for the first 6 weeks. So glad that is over.
  15. When taking your meds, how much Water do you drink with them? The reason I ask this is when I take my Ursodiol twice a day to prevent gallstones, they tend to sit in my stomach for a pretty good while. I take it before I go to work and about 2 hours after work. The only thing is I forgot it lastnight and remembered to take it just before I went to bed and my stomach hurt for a little over an hour. I take my meds with about 2 to 3oz of water, a very small "gulp" to get them down, then small sips until the rest of the water is gone. I'm wondering if I'm using too much water and not leaving enough acid to break down the meds.
