I recommend isopure shakes. 50g of protien 0 sugar. I lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks drinking 2 of those and eating only chicken for dinner for the first week. Second week 3 shakes nothing else except tons of water. -

Work went good and then band practice after. ..the only incision that is sore is the one right above my belly button. My only secret is moving around as much as possible (to get the gas out) and drinking at least 64 oz of water. I am only drinking protein shakes (isopure) and eating homemade chicken broth and beef broth. I will start vitamins this weekend. My surgeons were great. Dr. Korman and dr. Samouha at marina del rey bariatric hospital. I am following thier instructions carefully and praying every day for a quick and painless recovery. I consider myself very blessed I know some of you are in s lot of pain. Keep your spirits up a positive attitude does wonders for heeling. -

The first few days on liquids are the hardest. ..I totally understand. The fridge thing is a major bummer also! Stick with it, it is worth it. -

Experiences with Phentermine?
nicolee replied to RellaBelle's topic in GLP-1 & Other Weight Loss Medications (NEW!)
I have to agree. I've taken phentermine I lost a lot of wieght. I stopped because my liver became hard my attitude changed I cried all the time it almost killed me literally. Please read the side effects it is so dangerous. Now I have a great outlook. Surgery has forced me to make healthy choices and I enjoy doing so. The hunger is gone and I don't have a bunch of scary side effects. -

I have seen that show. It is a good story. -
I was told only water protien shakes and chicken broth for 2 weeks post op. It is a challenge to drink all of that but I just take small sips all day. I do not have any desire to eat at all. I feel full constantly.

Thank you. I am feeling better today and I am now 1 lb less than the day of surgery. The gas is getting better. Hopefully I will return to work on Monday. I am walking around a lot and drinking all my water. ..hoping to get down at least 1 protien shake today.

I was sleeved July 9th. I am still very sore but getting my fluids down and yesterday got 50 grams of protien. Feeling very tight in my chest.

Isopure shakes are at the vitamin shop. There are lots of flavors, my favorite is mango peach. -

Good luck! I am recovering from surgery on wed and I can honestly say I feel a lot better than yesterday and yesterday wasn't bad either. Stay optimistic and drink all your water. I know the liquid diet is hard but so worth it. I am not hungry anymore and I have been following my drs orders exactly. I really like the isopure shakes and so far I have gotten about 40 grams of protien so far and I some yummy homemade chicken broth on the stove. -
Experiences with Phentermine?

Phentermine is no good. I've tried it and lost a lot of wieght but put it right back on when I stopped. It is so bad for your body please don't take it. I wss sleeved yesterday and I am very happy I did it. The pain is honestly not too bad and they glued my incisions so I expect no scars either. -

I drank shakes for 2 weeks. I found isopure is not too sweet and has no carbs. I was sleeved yesterday and was very nervous I must admit there were a few tears. I am so glad I did it and honestly the pain is not too bad. I had great doctors and a wonderful hospital in marina del rey. I am very fortunate to have great insurance so it only cost me about $500 out of pocket for the stay in the hospital hotel after care. The majority of the pain is gas pain. If you walk around a lot after it works itself out mostly from burping. I have never had any surgery before and I am amazed at the level of pain. The most it has been is about 4 or 5. -

I am home. Surgery was yesterday and I am feeling okay. They filled me with gas to be able to see everything so I have a little discomfort from that. Burping helps. My incisions are very small and glued together so I am hoping for no scars. Im really glad its over and just concentrating on taking all the medicine and drinking lots of water. -

Well surgery is over and im feeling ok. The pain is more from gas because they fill you with gas to see what they are doing. The tiny incisions were glued closed. Feeling optimistic -
