I have been overweight my whole life. I am not one that was skinny through highschool then gained weight after I got pregnant. I have never known what it is like to be "skinny". I remember the torture in school and the name calling. It took me awhile to rise above it and become my own person and a shining personality. Since I was 16 I have had problems with my knee. Just recently in February it got worse and the doctor told me my weight is making it deteriorate faster. It was right then and there I decided to pursue WLS. I have a 6 yr old son I want to be more active with, and I want to teach him a healthy lifestyle as I see him gaining weight. I try to get him more active in sports, but its hard when I can't get out there and run around with him. I am nervous as can be, but can't wait for this life long change I am making. Can't wait to taste what "skinny" feels like.
