  3. 4 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 4th Anniversary luv2read!

  4. I use Unjury and love it, too. I drink a protein shake for breakfast. It's fast and easy -- and tastes good.

    Walking shoe recommendations

I'm a New Balance lover, too! I have model 926 and love them!
  6. Here are some better-sized "before" pictures. Since the pictures were taken, I'm down a size in both my tops and jeans and 3 sizes in my bra (YEA!)! A work in progress!

    When is your 1st fill?

I was banded October 15th and my first fill is November 21 -- the day before Thanksgiving. Yikes! I can't say I'm really hungry. In fact, I've pretty much just been drinking my protein shakes -- and LOTS of water. My dr. requires a 2-week liquid diet after surgery, so next week I'll try mushies.

    I tried chicken yesterday....

Holy cow, cQQlgirl! I was banded on the 15th, too, and am still on liquids. I was told to stay on the liquid diet for at least a week after the surgery. I go for my one-week post-op visit with the dr tomorrow and am hoping he will let me start mushies. After 4 weeks of liquid, I'm ready for something more!
  9. I tried it in pudding, too, but think applesauce is better. They make a liquid Tylenol, too, which has been a lifesaver for me!

    Yay~ I Just Got Approved

As long as it's clear, I was told I could drink it. The 2-week liquid diet isn't fun, but so worth it! Hang in there! (Drink LOTS of water!)
  11. I got banded a week ago today. I was told I would need to grind them for 2 weeks. I agree -- it IS nasty! I put it in applesauce, which makes it a little better. Can't wait to see if I can just take the pills whole -- they really aren't very big! Good luck!

    TENaciousTENS "roll call" as promised!

I thought the day would never get here, but yet here it is gone already! I had a really good experience. None of the gas I was warned about -- PTL! My right side, where the port is, is still sore, but the Tylenol liquid helps a lot. I'm drinking my protein shakes again and LOTS of water and walking. So far so good. I go to my dr. next Wednesday for my one-week checkup and am anxious to see how much I've lost. I gotta tell you, though, I am looking forward to mushies!! :phanvan
  14. I had my surgery on Monday, Oct. 15th, and am VERY grateful I haven't had the gas pains. My right side, where my port is, is still somewhat painful, but I'm just taking Tylenol Liquid for it and it is working for me. I walked a lot before the surgery - was up to an hour a day, 3.25 miles - and I think maybe that helped. I also was up walking the night of my surgery and walked a lot the next day while at the hospital. I've been tired, but can't say I'm hurting all that much. I'm so sorry some of ya'll are having a rough time of it. Hang in there!

    Pre-op Diet

You can get Unjury online, also, and I think the turnaround is really quick. Vanilla and chocolate you mix with milk, strawberry and chicken broth you mix with water. You might check with your local hospital and see if they carry it. That is actually where I get it -- from the pharmacy at the hospital. It is really good.
