My Lapband story has been a success. One year after my surgery, I was down 117 lbs. I was excited because my doctor approved my husband and I to begin our family. In October, we were blessed with our first pregnancy and my band had to be emptied because I was throwing up frequently. Unfortunately, we miscarried a few weeks later and my OB/GYN said we could start trying again right away. I gained 20 lbs after the first pregnancy because I my husband and I started eating out everywhere. This January we were blessed with a 2nd chance and found we were pregnant again. Every visit was very promising however, in March we suffered a second miscarriage due to the pregnancy being a partial molar. This pregnancy put 10 lbs on my instantly and the miscarriage brought another 10. I am now sitting at 75 lbs off since the surgery, and have only have 1 partial fill in the last year. I go in July 13th to be filled again, I am excited to know that I will be getting back on the healthy track. I just miss jogging. Before I started putting on the second 20, I was back to exercising and I truly miss it, but my asthma is acting up because of the extra weight. I ony hope that when my husband and I are given clearance to try to start our family again, I will be much closer to my goal weight and have health on my side.
