I understood that 2nd insurance is to cover what your 1st doesnt, so If your first isnt covering the surgery I would think (I HOPE) that your 2nd will. I hope all goes well for you........

I talked to my nurse case manager and she talked to Dr Rehnkes office and I see Dr R on Monday, but as long as he says he will do my surgery, then I am a go, and will have the final approval...no later than 8/2.. WOOOO Hoo, I hope to be in band land in Aug.....

I thought it was help too, Not soliciting for patients, some one asked about fills in Nevada and he let them know he does them. No different than if someone on here asked if they knew of a babysitter and someone says yeah I babysit, I can do it for you etc... It would be their choice if they chose to go to Eric or not... He may have helped that person and others,

I hope whenever I get mine it isnt right in the front, Cuz someday I would like to have another baby, and if some peoples belly buttons pop out, I wonder what the port would look like being right in the front part of the belly being pushed out...?????

mom of 4, check back with the Dr's office, many times it is included-all the pre-ops etc, but if at the hospital they dont key it in right, then you will get billed, this just happened to my friend, she called the Dr's office they called the Hospital, and now no bill or balance......

but.... not good news for bandlanders...lol

lol, My friend is on here to, she posts HotLikeMe,,, so I did HotLikeHer, yes we came up with it from the song... She teases my Fiance and says, if I cant get the lapband done, then he can say>>>D@mn, I wish my G/F was Hot Like Her...lol We call each other Heffers, her and I do... Gotta make light of our weights some how before we can get the surgery done. She gets hers done 7/26. Me still in the process.....

i just had 2 studies done,,, the first on 7/5 and the 2nd on 7/12 with the cpap. I have sleep apnea, I stop breathing every 3 minutes for up to 25 seconds. The bed was a full size bed, posture pedic, very comfortable, room was set up almost like a hotel. I could bring whatever I needed to help me sleep, I have a sounds machine and I play the ocean part on it. I could watch tv till I was tired, and it was not so bad... they need to get at least 6 hrs of sleep watching on ya. The cpap test was more bothersome, had problems with the nasal one, leakage, then switch to a bigger one, mouth still opened with chin strap, so then came the full mask, not bad, but by then I was so paranoid of leakage of air, any sound I was awake or trying to adjust the mask...lol But they told me today that I did quite well with it and didnt need the force as high as she started me out on. So I will only be at 8. Dr said I may lose the apnea after weight loss, but also to keep in mind it is also genetic, and my mother, G-ma and Uncle have it, but they are heavy also...So no telling until I can get my TOOL,, I want my lap band... To me the most embarassing part is going to have to wear the thing to bed with my fiance... how bad is that? 33 and falling apart.. not to sexy for sure.. As far as the glue in the hair, it is thick, but if you turn the shower up as hot as you can stand it and keep running your hands through it, then shampoo, I got it all out on the first shower...

I would check into Dr Ortiz, he is supposed to be one of the best over there in TJ. Also from what I understand was one of the origiinal Drs to learn and has been the teacher for others....

How many honestly for the 2 weeks prior to the surgery actually drank only the Optifast? (no food) (for those of you that had to do it) Did you feel sick- like maybe low sugar or anything like that? How about the runs? Did you lose weight? If you didnt, did they still do the surgery? Any other input? I am not on this yet, just asking I dont have my surgery date yet... I want to be prepared...

I got a toshiba 62"DLP for 2200 brand new with full warranty from this comapny at digital1234.com, the prices are awesome and even with shipping I saved over 1K compared to best buy, then took the receipt into best buy and got the 4 yr extended warranty since they sell the exact same model for 400.00 cleanings included..lol Check them out if you are interested in a new tv and stuff of the like. I delivered quite a few of them with my job so I finally looked them up and they were priced so good couldnt pass them up..

Thanks for the explanation....lol Man though, I cant believe he charged you for an unfill. Sometimes Dr's just write stuff and the office automatically charges things. Maybe ask or call the office manager if they didnt have you swallow Water the first time maybe or since it is in the week still etc.... But like you said you are grateful to have it undone and be able to get them.... So glad you feel better though... YAY!

you mean your follow up care/fills arent included in your total fees you paid...? Wow. I didnt know Dr's did that. The one I am planning on going to hist total for self pay is 16950 and 1 yr of follow ups/fills etc... But back on track, I hope everything works out good for you. Stalk him! ha ha, nah I hope he is there to help you.

From what I have seen with Dr Rehnke, he is awesome in person and very caring. I have seen him out of the "hospital" setting. Have you seen him and talked to him about this at your monthly checks? have you been honest to him about what you are eating? I sure hope everything works out for you. Please keep us posted... I went and read all your previous posts... I sure hope things can get settled right for you.... So you can enjoy your band....... I know that he goes into the Surgery room and there are 3 size bands there, they are not the van guard bands. Once they get inside and see the size of the stomach is when they decide which band to use. Both of the surgeons Dr Rehnke and Dr Grossbard are in at the same time doing the surgery. (Just letting those that dont know of them know how they practice) Also depends on the amount of fat and tissue stiff around the tummy that has to be cut away.....before they put the band on...... I watched a few actual videos here on the net of real surgeries, not animated demo's, gross but yet cool...lol I am in the process of getting this done. Just waiting for insurance approval at this point....
