A person on the other board was dizzy too and they told her her potassium might be low....

I did talk to the Nursing Director..... but I havent heard anything yet.. I will be calling on Monday.......

I belong to another board also,, And I had posted on there about a verbal approval for insurance etc and just had to wait for Dr appnt and him to say yes and I would have an official approval and I had stated in there that I did ALLLL the foot work etc with an LOL after that, only meaning that I got it all done and the process would be sped up.... Well the moderator wrote back a few times and seemed to be "hostile" or not liking me or something. Several people wrote to me asking me what I did to PO that person. Well here is the part,,, Get this, The Moderator of that board copied the post I wrote, same one is on here also, and sent it to my DR, and told him that "I was not going to be compliant, I just know it", The moderators own words, How do I know this? The copy of the email was right there in my chart while the nurse took my family history...Today was the first time I had a consultaion with my DR... How do you like that? So I was going to confront that Moderator at the Hospital and tell how much I was offended etc. But I saw the Director if Nursing's office first and voiced my feelings to her instead. The bad part is I am not the only one this person has acted this way towards. And I was emailed about that... I wish I had saved the emails, dang it.... I told the director I am not trying to make waves or anything, but it was plain wrong! and I felt violated and offended,. I also stated that I dont want to get rejected now or treated like POO POO, because of this and she assured me I wont be,,,, She is going to be talking with both this person and my Dr.... ANd she told me to call her when I get to the Hospital and she herself would check in on me etc.. She was very very nice to me..... My friend also hopes I didnt just "talk my way out of a surgeon" Black Balled,,,lol Man,,, some people...... Here I am so excited about this procedure only to get treated that way.

Yeah Actually I did call my insurance company and spoke with a nurse case manager, and she set up a case for me... Gave info she called Drs office got more info and told meif the Dr says he will do my sirgery -- I have met the criteria and I will be a go, So form the time I set up the case til I saw Dr R and got approval - A verbal OK on 7/27 and final approval today.....

Well I got my approval exactly like the insurance rep told me, and she told me my surgery date is 8/30/05.. The Dr's office hasnt even called me yet... figures.... Wooo hooo 1 more week of piggin out then 2 weeks of Optifast then I join you on the bandwagon.,,,, Yaaahooooooooooo

Thanks all,,, Yeah I guess it is the last supper syndrome, just stuff that I know I shouldnt eat afterwards,,, I have 2 weeks of Optifast pre surgery, 2 weeks of Clear liquids after, then 2 weeks of full liquids, then the mushies for 2 weeks I know I will be able to eat again some day, but these are things I really want to try and stay away from....afterwards, I will show them how compliant I can and will be,,lol.. I am just sooooo excited.... also that I told them as soon as Dr R says yes he will do my surgery that I was approved and that is what my nurse case manager said also, she told them today... And she told me that I was one of the easiest cases she has ever done since I had everything done for her already, What an easy peasy process it was, Thank God for that one.. Woo WHooo, I am comin loserville....

I agree with you,, I am just afraid since she has been at this Hospital since 1981, and is Head of the bariatric unit, that she could make my life living hell while there, or at least not so nice. I have the director of nursing on my side right now, and she seems to be nice, so for now, I will wait. I also want a formal appology from this nurse. I have a pretty good memory so I will be able to account for what happened as well as the emails she sent me etc.. and of course it is on the board..... Thanks for all of y our support this board is sooo awesome....a great bunch of losers-- weight loss ones that is,,, (its a joke-pun)

Just check with your insurance company yourself though too, I have BCBS, and BCBS of FL stopped covering it, but I have BCBS _Empire and it is covered... Dont get discouraged, check things out......

Ohhh hunny I havent had mine yet, but it will get better real soon,,,,,,,

Right now I just wanna wait til I get my surgery done... Dont wanna do too much damage... The only other thing is they didnt send any "health" info, just contacted my Dr that I hadnt seen yet and sent them the post and their opinion of me not going to be compliant...

The moderator doesnt work for the DR, but for the Hospital right next to his Office. For the time being I am going to wait and see what the director of nursing says. As she is supposed to talk to both the Nurse/Moderator and also the Dr. But I will be leaving that board most likely, its not the people on there it is the Moderator. Which is also the one that does the orientations and helps with the Seminars. I really do like the surgeon and his office etc. And I am just waiting for the final approval for him from my Insurance co....But I am going to refuse to let her anywhere near me... That moderator is a Nurse and head of the bariatric center in the Hospital.... I talked to the supervisor and we will see what is stated.... What a way to bust my bubble a bit huh.... But Soon I will be in Weight-loserville,,,,,,,,,,,,

My insurance covered the Psych eval and tests, etc. I will have a copay of 20%. Not of what the Dr charges but what the insurance company has prenegotiated rates with them on, My dr is in the network too, I have Empire BCBS...
