Congrats to everyone who has a date! I should've completed my 6 month diet at end of dec. But because of holiday my dr office was closed. Then I had a 1/06 appt. But I was out of town for work. The next time they could fit me in is 1/29. After my 6th supervised diet appt they will submit for insurance approval, which could take up to 2 wks. Then I get my date. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a Feb date! This is taking forever....

I even deleted app & reinstalled app on my iPad. Every time I try to read a post it kicks me out of app,it doesn't allow me to open post. Now I'm using the older version on my iPhone.. ALEX PLEASE don't get rid of old version!!!! I'm hoping for a Feb surgery & would be lost without BP.. Please help!

Thanks for responding Ken S! I'm using the original iPad (1st version) & iOS 5.1.1 (I can't update to a newer version, iPad to old). As soon as I try to click on a topic, the screen goes blank & it kicks me out of the app. Even though I'm using an older iPad the app worked great until I downloaded new version. Now I'm using Mobil app. I will also take Superdave suggestion & try going directly to the website.

I really miss reading about everyone journey...I just remembered I have this app on my phone. So I'm going to delete the iPad version, helpfully I can continue using the old version... ALEX PLEASE DON'T GET RID OF THE OLD VERSION!!!!!!!!! I have my last supervised diet visit this month!!!!! Who hoo!!!! I had to cancel my 1/6 appt because I couldn't get out of work.... I have united healthcare also! I have to pay $5000... They don't cover surgeon fees..

Thank you I needed to read this! I'm still pre op but I'm going to take my vitamins with a BIG glass of water right now. I love the "no crying in baseball" reference. I will ask husband to remind me of this after surgery when it gets hard. All of you are welcome to remind me of the same!

I also have hashimoto's disease. I haven't had surgery yet but I'm also concerned how it will effect my weight loss after surgery. Keep us posted how this progress for you.

I have used phentermine in the past. It works as long as your taking it. Once you stop taking it, all the weight comes back plus some.

I work nights so I live off coffee the night I work. I'm not looking forward to giving up my coffee! I'm looking at a feb surgery. So I guess I will start 1/1. Does decaf work?

@@wannaBthinsoon I can completely relate to your story. I have lost & gained the same 50 lbs over & over! I'm so over it. I have never be able to maintain the weight lose. The thought that this will be the last time I will lose the weight blows my mind!
