  1. Lifesaver - I know that feeling well. Waking up one day and the restriction is gone! That's why I had to start the PB diet, because I did not want to gain any weight. I have my next fill on Thursday! I think I'll make it! I can't wait to eat fruit again! I miss it! I'm curious to hear if others have experienced the same as we have. Mal - I hope you can run the Race for the Cure and I can walk it! That will be great! It's not until October, so I think there is a good chance, we'll be there! Do you have to get sponsors to do the race? Sewpfun2 - Welcome to the Loser's Bench! We've kept it warmed up for you! It's great to have you in Bandsterland with us! Sounds like you're doing great! We should be planning our next RR meeting soon! I went to my first last October before I was even banded! It was great! Mal, Anita, Michelle and Marilyn let me ask all of my questions! I loved it! Have a wonderful weekend Girls! Happy Memorial Day! I'm working Sat, Sun and Monday! Let's start considering dates for our next RR meeting! Love, dee~
  2. Okay Missy I'm counting you in for the Ten Week Challenge! I'm glad to have you join me! AND congrats on that SV! I know what a joyful moment it is to see the scale move!!! Keep up the running! I'm so proud of you! dee~
  3. Mal! My dream is to walk in the Susan G Koman Race for the Cure this year! I've always done the "Sleep in for the Cure" -- I had an excuse, I worked nights and was actuall home sleeping! But this year, I want to be out there walking! Didn't you walk last year? I lost another .8 this morning. AND TOM arrived finally! I thought I would end up jumping off some nearby building my depression had gotten so bad this last week with the dreaded PMS! I am so happy to see things started, so I can get it over with! I love being a woman, I loved being pregnant and being a Mom, but I hate the PMS part that comes with TOM. Well, I gotta go and teach a NRP class. See ya, Love, dee~
  4. Everyone! Woofay made me curious to see how many weeks til the BBQ. 10 weeks until the BBQ! I'm going to try to lose 2lbs a week for the next 10 weeks! Anyone else want to take the Ten Week BBQ Challenge with me? We can start it this Saturday and post our losses every Saturday until the BBQ. Anyone else interested? Just decide how much you want to lose and post every Saturday to let us know how it's going. You don't have to post your weight, just your losses.
  5. SAVE THE DATE: Dr. Kirshenbaum plans to host a Reunion for all of his Lap Band patients! August 2, 2008, Saturday Time and Place to be announced. R.S.V.P. to Natalie @ ncardenas@lapbandrockies.com by 7-25-08 with your before and after pics.:blushing: (I thought I better post this again as I needed to be reminded of the date!)
  6. Hi Woofay! I'm so glad you posted tonight! Don't disappear! I got the Plateau Buster diet from some other banders. I know I am not in a real, official plateau, but it's time for another fill and I'm afraid of gaining more weight, so I decided to do this to keep me on track! I had gone 2 weeks without losing anything. I wasn't being a good bander so I'm not surprised. I had to do something to get things in control. Anyway, I have been on it strictly since Monday and I have lost 5 lbs. It was difficult the first day or two, but once I started eating all that I was allowed including the 2 protein supplements, I was fine. It hasn't been difficult at all. In fact, yesterday at work, I had to make myself eat, because I wasn't hungry. I'm a huge believer in eating a balanced diet. I was doing pretty well when I had restriction, I ate my protein first, veggies and good whole grain carbs and fruit everyday and I lost. But without restriction it's almost like the old days. I said, "Almost" -- I still can't eat or atleast I haven't tried to eat as much as I did previously, but I can eat 1 and a half cups with each meal, whereas before I couldn't! I think losing 17 lbs by the first week of August is totally doable AND thank you so much for reminding me of the BBQ. I need to make sure I am off that weekend! Yikes! I need to go back and look at the post to verify the date! Lapdancer! I'm so glad to hear that your daughter and the baby are okay. When is your grandbaby due? I bet you're getting so excited! I'm looking forward to seeing your pretty toe art! Denise, I totally agree with you about the Willie Nelson Peach Cobbler Ice Cream. I bought it on during a bad craving, took 2 bites of and it then put in the sink and poured hot water over it! Ice Cream and Tortilla Chips are my enemies, I can't even be in the same room with them! Okay Folks! Have a great evening! I'm here watching Grey's Anatomy. It's a tear jerker! Crying and eating my SF Jello with whipped cream on top! Yumm! Love, dee~
  7. Happy Memorial Day to you too Nerd, ummm, oops, I mean Shelbi! Have fun with the fossils! When you return, we'll be awaiting the pretty toes on the scale in Onederland pictures! I'll be here working my fingers to the bone!
  8. Thanks Sister Mal! I'm so glad you got to go! Did others go too? Did you tell Natalie, I said, "HI?"
  9. Mal! I wish I was going to the clothing swap! I'm here at work! ARGH! Have fun! Give Natalie a hug for me! dee~ aka wife of a big double cheese pizza!
  10. Well, not really, since your husband would be the Cookie Dough and not a real human person -- just think how great that would be! He'd never complain if you bought yourself a new dress!
  11. Denise, Is that the Ben & Jerry's flavor that is called, "Willie Nelson's Peach Cobbler?" That is the yummiest ice cream ever!!! I'd have to bite my MIL's head off too, if she wanted some!
  12. But what kind of marriage would that be? It wouldn't last long and you'd be in big trouble for consuming your spouse!
  13. I have a feeling we're going to need a huge Naughty Chair! Remember the huge rocking chair that Ruth Buzzie (sp?) used to sit on when she was on the Carol Burnett Show pretending to be a little girl! We need one of those! So all three of us Naughty Banditos can sit on it together!
  14. And Mal, You cannot duct tape your arse to the Naughty Chair, BECAUSE I won't be able to sit on it when I'm naughty -- unless you want me to sit on your lap and break you!
  15. Mal, Could we test that Brain Band on your first? Let's give Dr. K's office a call and see if he'll be up to the task. Think of all the people who will be in line! You go first and I'll be second! There are some things, I absolutely love... pizza is one of them! I'd marry a big double cheese pizza if I could -- but knowing me, I'd eat it and the marriage would be over!! (remember when we were kids and we used to say that? If you love it so much, why don't you just marry it?)
  16. Dear Ms. Mal! YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE! don't make me come over there and place you in the Naughty Chair! You didn't totally mess up, you left the track for a meal. One meal! You can get back on track today or even tonight! Don't give up!:sneaky: AND remember you can drink your protein drinks if you're hungry between your meals... you shouldn't be hungry. But I totally understand the coming home late and being starved! It makes sense! BECAUSE Brandy is right, you got the tool around your stomach not your brain! Hang in there Lady! Love, dee~
  17. Hi Kidlings! I just got back from Safeway! I was starving! AND voila, they have their little peanut butter tasting area AND I remembered that I can eat Peanut Butter on the Plateau Buster diet! So I did! It hit the spot! Mal: Good girl! You did great yesterday! I know you had a hard time after returning from the gym, but you were victorious! That is what you need to focus on! You got through the first day! BRAVO! I promise it gets easier! I can't believe you missed your One year Bandiversary! Happy Bandiversary Ms Mal! Congrats on completing your first year! You look wonderful and I know you have been granted a whole bunch of NSV's! Michelle: Hey, Lovergirl! I missed you at RR this last time! It's not the same without you! My daughter and I are going to Seattle so I might PM you and you can tell me where I should avoid getting a hotel! It's so hard when you make reservations online, you never know where you'll end up! I remember staying in Flagstaff one summer, our hotel was practically on the railroad tracks! What a nightmare! We couldn't get an hour of sleep! Toot Toot!!! I'm so glad to hear things are going well with the man in your life! Minidriver: You can be sappy all you want! I know I appreciate everyone here! They are very sincere and very caring! Good people! BTW, we're glad you found us and Dr. K! Be careful on the bench - Shelbi can't keep her hands to herself! She's totally out of control with the poking and pinching! I think she needs to go to the Naughty Chair! (you know, I love you Shelbi!) Sidann: Don't worry about the scale right now. I gained after surgery from all the fluid in my IV's -- then I didn't lose for a while. I looked at my excel spreadsheet the other day and saw how I went up and up during that time. All in all the trend started downward around the 3rd week -- then when I started solids it went up again before heading back down. It's a time to heal! Don't work out too hard on your bike yet, Dr. K told me 3 weeks to let my body heal before I could ride my bike. Well, gotta go Ladies! (I'm not referring to JT anymore, since he NEVER comes here! Brat Boy!):cursing: Be good! dee~
  18. I wish I could do my own toes! I tried once, they looked like a Kindergardener had done them with a huge blunted crayon! ARGH! I can't wait to get to the 200's! The day I arrive at Twoderland, you'll hear me screaming with joy all the way over at your place in Florida, Lapdancer!
  19. Shelbi- Girl Don't forget to get your toes done, have your camera by your scale and be ready to snap that picture when you hit Onederland! I loved it when I hit Threederland! (is there such a word?) I took like 10 pictures til I got one that was clear! My toes are so cute next to that 396! One day I was 401, the next I was 396! I totally skipped 399! NOT complaining! Just be ready, you're so close!:wink2:
  20. It's a lovely day in the neighborhood! A new day has begun! My breakfast was so yummy! I rode my bike with the front window open because it was warm in my house! Nice breeze! I'm sure the neighbors loved the view of me on my cycle, panting away! No one made them look! Day 2 S- 1/2 LowCarb Slim Fast before riding my bike B-1 fried egg on top of Morningstar Farms Griller, half slice of 2% cheese S- cottage cheese L-3 oz of ground beef patty S-Activia Yogurt D-3 oz of ground turkey patty S- Jello SF with FF/SF Whipped cream dandilion tea with lemon, splenda cranjuice exercise: 35 mins on my cycle hydration: goal - 94mls of water and crystal lite Good Luck PB buddy! (yesterday, my calories were 1172 and my protein was 89) post when you can! I'll be thinking of you - all day Missy! Love, dee~:wink2:
  21. You go girl! With a trainer! I'm serious! You're a better woman than me! I can't do it! I'd be crying and he'd have a hott little outfit on and a big whip! OH! That might do the trick actually! Do they make little sexy outfits like that for Dom Boys? Someone stop me! Okay back!:wink2: sheesh! It was getting really warm in here! The Plateau Buster diet is good for a 10 day revive! I had gained a little weight and this morning, I'm down 2 lbs. I had lost all that weight last month, gained and then couldn't get the scale to move for over 2 weeks. I know that is not technically a plateau, BUT for me it was scary! Gaining and then staying there day after day after day! I had to do something! I've got your back LapDancer! dee~
  22. Shelbi, Mal is right! You are doing amazingly great and you're always so positive and sweet! I love your posts! AND I am proud to have you sitting by my side on the Loser's Bench! Except when you keep poking me with your elbow! Ouch! Seriously, this is a journey and taking that journey with people like you -- makes the journey all the more awesome! Hugs Shelbi-girl~ dee~
  23. Mal! I'm with you Dude! I just had some SF Jello with SF/FF Whip Cream. I feel like eating everything! ANYTHING! I'm sucking tonight too! AND not in a good way! Sorry! I might have some more Jello! That stuff is like air! Too bad they aren't jello shots! Stick with it Girl! We can do it! I know we can! Only 9 Days Left! BTW, that sucks for the clothing swap! That's really too bad! Even though I couldn't go! AND Mal, you can eat anything else on the list that you want! Cheese, more pork roast, cottage cheese....
  24. I'd love to go to the clothing Swap, but I'm working that day til 1930. Are you planning on going? Sounds like your first day is going well! At RR, Lifesaver was telling us that if you get 15 mins of work out in in the evening that your metabolism works through the night while you're sleeping and you burn more calories. So I'm going to try to get 15 mins of cycling in each evening. I used to do it once in a while, but I'm going to do it again -- hopefully it will keep me from wanting to eat! I'm not that disciplined either, but I know myself and if I don't have things planned and prep'd, I will cheat! I'll get hungry and eat something I shouldn't. I just made a bunch of 3 oz ground beef and ground turkey patties. I need to get to the store and get more yogurt. Hope your day is going well! Thanks for doing the PB diet with me!!!
  25. Hey! That just might work! I am already having trouble with the french cut undies! (is that TMI?) I can't imagine wearing that outfit -- and not getting some results! They might pay for our plastics, just so that we never visit their office dressed that way again!
