  1. Like the Sim's Roller Coaster and the virtual people throw up? We could have the banders slime and PB after eating dry chicken or soft bread! Or when they take really big bites and not chew well! Cool!
  2. Like really soft fresh hot baked bread? White Pasta Rice Dried Grilled Chicken with Jerk Seasoning -- I love it when it's dry! It would choke a non-bander!
  3. Yes and I had a virtual hang over this morning!
  4. I think they would want me to bring some Cookie Don't You Want Some to the BBQ.
  5. Bummer Dude! The owner of the one my daughter works at also owns the Spicy Pickle! Have you ever had one those sandwiches? Oh MY GOODNESS!
  6. Maybe they all got Lap Bands! The one by my house went out of business too, but my daughter works at the big one in Highland's Ranch.
  7. My Favorite flavor is "Cookie Don't You Want Some!" French Vanilla Ice Cream, Cookie Dough, Chocolate Chips, Fudge, Carmel, and my daughter adds Pecans in mine to replace the Chocolate Chips! YUM!
  8. For me, it's the chocolate with nuts! Anything with nuts taste good to me! Well, almost anything....
  9. Mini! Who are you calling "Ladies?" Humm, Chocolate Ice Cream? That does sound good! My daughter works at Cold Stone -- I bet they have chocolate ice cream there! Gotta go again! bye~
  10. Yup, A box of Chocolates Anita! That should really help our cause! Humm, I wonder if that halloween candy, I hid a year ago in my freezer in the garage is still good. Gotta go now! Bye~!
  11. Hey!

Great idea starting a forum for those with starting BMI's over 60. Mine was 61. My goal is to reach a BMI of less than 50 by my 6 month bandiversary!

  12. Well Forest! You're in good company! Lap and myself! And Sweet Mal lost inches but no pounds -- BUT the lucky girl didn't gain! I bet it was riding her bike in the dark last night that did it! Maybe I should turn the light off in my living room and ride my bike in the dark tonight! TOM is dreadful! I hate TOM! My TOM has been strange too. I knew I didn't want to weigh this morning when I saw that my hands were swollen and my ankles and feet were puff-a-lumps. (Remember those dolls, the puff-a-lumps?) I appreciate that you weighed and posted Woofay! It was hard for me to post that gain, but I'm glad I did. I'm human and my weight fluctuates almost daily that way -- it's the trend that matters most! Right? Life is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get.

starting BMI over 50? come on in!

Hi Lovelylady! It might not slow down since you started higher than most lap banders. But don't be concerned if it does. I was banded 1/29/08 and have lost 71 since my highest and 51 since surgery. I go up and the down and up again. I do weigh everyday and feel I need to do that for my own sanity. I work out everyday and I think that has helped a lot. If you can add some kind of physical exercise it will help keep you from stalling. Even if you can do something from a chair... therabands are great for that. Good Luck and Welcome to the Loser's Bench!
  14. Lap, It's You, Mal and Me, Babes! We'll be on the losing end next week. You did well taking into consideration your situation. The good thing about the Lap Band is that -- it's forgiving and it's always there when you fall off the 'bandwagon' - it allows you to pick yourself back up -- hop aboard and ride into the sunset of good health! I knew there was a Banana riding on something! Shelbi, You're right! We are much farther than we were just 10 months ago! I think to myself, I weighed 458lbs just 10 months ago! That's a lot! Almost 500lbs! I can't believe I was still walking around! I don't think I'd be alive long at that weight... and I know I couldn't have continued working full-time. My life has improved greatly by this little device called the Adjustable Gastric Lap Band and I have Dr. K to think for that! Denise, I lost my father 14 years ago and I miss him everyday. He'd be proud of me for my success. He mentioned WLS years ago and I remember just ignoring him. Your Mom would be so proud of you and your accomplishments. We both can honor their memory by continuing on the road to good health. Hugs All My Sweet Banditos! Happy Saturday! dee~

  16. Sorry Lap, but I beat you! I gained 4.6lbs! I do not want to own it, I hate it, It sucks, I hate my scale, I'm going to the Goodwill and dropping it off this afternoon! okay, I am calm now. I have no idea how that happened! Could be water weight or the fact that I haven't been 'regular' in about a week. (TMI - I know!) (I'll be hiding behind this couch until next Saturday weigh in and I better lose the 4.6 plus another 4 lbs or I'll never make my goal!)

  18. Thanks Adorkable! I have to be honest, I felt that panic feeling come over me when I got home. I started looking every where for something to eat. I felt that horrible out of control feeling! I hated it! I just wanted to stuff something in my mouth. My mind kept saying, I want to eat something. But I couldn't. I had to force myself to ride my bike. I knew I'd be so angry with myself if I had eaten. All the way home, I kept wanting to stop somewhere and get something bad to eat! This is not easy! I love your new license plate! Mine is a breast cancer support one too! I"m going to go to Target and get the frame that you can customize. I lost both grandma's to Breast CA and my bestfriend this last February. We are chatty tonight, aren't we? I love it! dee~
  19. MAL! I'm glad to see you made it home safely. I was hoping you'd post! I'm glad you had fun! I can picture you in my mind and it's adorable! Enjoy your bike Girlie! Did you get a bell, a basket, did you put some cards on the spokes? Did you wear your helmet? Sleep Sweet, Nitie nite! dee~
  20. xxxx and oooo! you're pretty swell yourself cyber-dudette! luv, dee~
  21. Stop!!! IF you don't get the surgery, your quality of life will be less AND you won't be able to minister to your students and in ministering to your students you ARE enhancing their quality of life! YOU have nothing to feel guilty about! This is not for asthetics, this is very life! Got it Mini?
  22. Your Lost Boys of the Sudan story reminded me of the students in Haiti. I could always tell which students were illiterate because they traced the words from the book. They had 10 base sentences they had to write 10 times each night for homework. They would trace those words from the book... it was obvious. Amazing they worked so hard! Most didn't have electricity in their homes so they would stand out in the street using the light from the street light to do their homework at night. They would be out there for hours. During the rainy season, many of them would really struggle with getting their work done. We are so blessed in this country! Aren't we?
  23. Mal! You made me laugh! You're hilarious! A circus act! If I was your neighbor, we could ride together... we would look like a circus act! The trainer and her trained seal! HA! BE careful, don't crash!
  24. Mal! Yup, weigh in tomorrow! Bright and early! AND don't make me go to your house with my scale and force you to weigh! Don't test me, Mal! Don't make me get my angry eyes out! (remember on Toy Story-2, Mrs. Potato-head packed Mr. Potato-head's Angry Eyes?" At the 24-hour fitness center, there is a woman, who rides her bike to the center, runs on the trademill, swims with me for an hour and then she rides her bike home! I hate that woman! She's not human, BUT damn she has a hot body! I'd love to be your neighbor! Then I could really truly go to your house with my scale! You might change your mind about inviting me to your neighborhood, really fast!
