  1. Just a friendly reminder!:tongue2: Red Robin Gathering on Wednesday, June 11th @ 7pm! I-25 and Arapahoe! Bring your cameras, bring your support and bring your pretty faces!
  2. I can't wait to see you on Wednesday too! I hope a lot of us can come! I would love to get a great picture of all of us Banders!
  3. Hi Shelbi and Munchkin~ I've been bad this last weekend too. We ate out too many times! So today I'm starting over! Don't worry about the gain Shelbi, you can hop back on the Bandwagon and get back on the road. I'll reach down and give you a hand up - if you reach across and give me one! I'm going to do the 30/30/40 plan. I started this morning! So far so good! I love that the Band is forgiving, it is a tool we can use to start new each time - we fall. A new day for all of us! hugs, dee~:tongue2:
  4. Tell your co-worker that Marty and I thought you were just adorable! Marty still asks about you! You were very sweet! I am sure I wasn't closet to being very sweet post-op. I was like Lifesaver, I was in a lot of pain and I was so nauseated! My friend was looking for a emesis basin for me and I told her, "I cannot throw up!" The Recovery nurse was excellent in giving me something before I left the PACU. I don't do well with anesthesia, but I did not throw up and I credit the meds with that. Don't hesitate to take those meds! John and Mal came to visit me the night of my surgery while I was in the hospital. I had to stay the night since I have the family history of Malignant Hyperthermia. I see the nurse all of the time who was my nurse that first night. She's so sweet and I felt she was one of the best Med/Surg. nurses I had ever had! Her and the tech were so attentive to me! It felt like I was the only patient on the unit. And that poor girl had 8 others! I do not know how she did it! I agree with Marcy and Lifesaver, -- Mini, Fatwidow and Deb, if you can stay one extra day, I'd do it. BUT like Munchkin says the third day is the most uncomfortable for some reason. I didn't have any gas pains. I was all ready with my gas-x dissolving tabs, but never had to use them. Well, I gotta get out of bed and ride that bike of mine! I'm working today! Hugs everyone! Love, dee~
  5. The Crown Point Surgicenter is on the first floor of the hospital. It is a separate facility but it's in the same building. I work on the third floor of the hospital. The surgicenter is off of Parker in the city of Parker. Dr. K's office is in Aurora, I'm not sure how far it is, but it's not that close. It's not difficult to go from Aurora to the hospital. Maybe 10 miles or so. Are you having your surgery in the Main Hospital or the Surgicenter? Most likely it in the Surgicenter, but mine was in the Main OR in the Hospital due to my Malignant Hyperthermia family history. Fatwidow! I look forward to meeting you! I live in Littleton but because I work at the hospital, I'm pretty familiar with that area. My home is about 13 miles from the hospital. Let me know if you need anything else. We are going to Cheyenne early on the 19th. I don't mind helping if I am able. My schedule is not always open, but sometimes, I'm fortunate. During the week of your surgery, I'm actually on vacation. Let's keep in touch! dee~
  6. Hi Everyone! Amieru! Wow! 5 lbs! That's great! You're really working that band of yours! Congrats! You're going to meet your goal before you know it! Brandy! When you reach your goal, can you start working on mine? Please? I am going to hit it hard starting tomorrow! I am going to really watch my sodium intake to make sure that I can get my swelling down! My friend started on the Zone diet on Wednesday and she's lost 3lbs already! I might look into that! Bookholder! Don't worry about being stuck! Maybe up your working out. That might help. It will start moving for you soon! Are you going to make it to Red Robin's? Fatwidow! I remember when I had my surgery, you had to sign a form stating who would be picking you up afterwards AND you had to give them the phone number of the person. I remembered this when I saw that Munchkin was going to have her surgery. I wrote her and gave you my number. When the surgery was over Dr. K called my cell phone and let me know she was in recovery! I waited in the waiting room and watched TV until she was up to going back to the hotel. It was the best meeting her! Even after surgery, she was just adorable! I have no problem picking you up after surgery and taking you back to your hotel. The scripts for surgery are an Antibiotic (liquid form), a stool softener (OTC) for the night before surgery, a liquid pain med and a oral antiemetic (to keep you from throwing up) -- he's using something different now, it's a tab to put under your tongue. They will also put a patch behind your ear to help you from throwing up. Throwing up is an absolute NO NO after surgery -- you can cause the band to slip by vomiting. He will also want you to get something to wash your tummy with for a couple of days prior to surgery. My insurance paid for these. But if the insurance hadn't paid, it would have cost me $105.00. Deb! The airport is pretty far from the hotel. But the hotel is very close to the surgicenter. I'm not sure of my schedule in August. If I'm not working that day, I would be happy to give you a ride back to the hotel after your surgery. Ask Natalie, she might have an idea of how much a taxi from the airport would be. The Super-shuttle might be a good price, but there might be some people on here who used the shuttle and they can give you more advise. Are you going to come in early the day before yours surgery for your pre-op appt? Mini! WE are a bunch of losers, aren't we? Be good all of you! love, dee~

  8. Sweetie, Your surgery is on the 17th of July? So when would bookholder be staying with you? The night of the 17th? I can stay with you also or I can come in when she has to leave. I'm off the 17th and 18th. Do you need someone to take you to the Surgicenter? I could do that for you. I picked Munchkin up and took her back to her hotel. Are you going to stay until the 19th? Or are you leaving on the 18th? Sorry for so many questions, I'm trying to figure it out. I'm going to Cheyenne on the 18th or 19th, I can't remember.
  9. Good Job Lifesaver! I'll update our list! You made me laugh with your post about Mal and the Wii Fit! I could see her at the store text messaging you! That's so sweet of her!
  10. I love that story! Aren't brothers the best? You can always count on them to mess with us!
  11. Oh My Goodness! That is a GREAT story! I love it! I'm glad you were able to get it off! It sounds like we all had cars that were less than par! I remember as a kid we had an old car that had big holes in the floor boards. When my Mom would drive over a puddle (sp?) we would get wet! Nice Memories!
  12. Hey Bikini! WE are a close knit group, BUT not so close that we can't open to embrace anyone and everyone! Come One Come All! The Banditos are the BEST!
  13. Mal! Congrats! On your 2lbs down! You did say DOWN!!! I am so happy for you! I bet you loved seeing that scale move down!!! I know I did! I'm down 7lbs from last Saturday's weight! So I lost 2.4lbs plus the 4.6 that I had gained! keep those numbers coming in!

  15. Brandy! My first car was hideous! I actually never got to drive it once. My father bought me this 1977 Impala. I turned 16 years old - 2 months after I graduated from High School. My dad said he'd fix the car up for me. It had no steering wheel and was missing some other important parts. First he said he'd have it done by my graduation, then by my 16th birthday, well, I headed to college 2 weeks later and I never got to drive it. While in college, I would house sit for different professors, they asked if I had a license, I did, so they would leave me their cars. One time, I had a Benz SLK, A Lincoln Towne Car and A Jag at my service all in the same week! Little did these people know, my driving experience consisted of driving my Mom's Dodge Cornet Stationwagon to church once a week, at the incredibly quick speed of 30 mph! "Slow down you're going too fast! Do you want me to drive?" Words, I heard every time I was behind the wheel! Then I went to Haiti my sophomore year and drove all over that island! They have a motto when it comes to driving in Port-au-Prince, "First one there wins." All my roommates were too scared to drive, I had no fear! I think I was too stupid to fear!
  16. Bandito Goal ----1st week---- Dee = 20lbs +4.6lbs Bookholder = 15lbs+0.0 Brandy = 25lbs-4.5 Woofay = 15lbs+4.0lbs Mal = 15lbs +0.0 LA = 23lbs+1.0lb Marcy = 15lbs+0.0 Lapdancer = 20lbs +4.0 Shelbi = 20lbs -2.6 Amieru = 20lbs-2lbs Sidann = 20lbs-4.5lbs Lifesaver = 20lbs-1.0lb-1.5lbs John T = 15lbs-2.0lbs bahotmamma = 20 lbs -1.5lbs Week One Losses - 18.1lbs (6.8%) Don't forget to weigh yourself in the morning (tomorrow) and post your loss.
  17. No Problem John! Thanks Sweetness! I'll forgive you! But don't forget to pop on tomorrow and post your weight, please.
  18. It is extremely sad! AND his youngest daughter who is 5 years old -- she lost her Mommy when she was less than a year old, is always asking him when she was going to have a Mommy like other kids. She's really smart! The second daughter reminds me of me when I was her age. She's the sweetest little girl! She's very tenderhearted and loving. The oldest is at that age where she needs a female person in her life -- going through those changes when she's becoming a young woman. I see the good things in this man, even tho few would because he is a bit arrogant! But he truly is a good person and he's allowed me to see him for who he is, because he sees me as his friend, so he doesn't hide his true personality.
  19. hey Marcy! We check in every Saturday! You missed our first check in, but you can give me your weight anytime during the week, if you get a chance to weigh on Saturday! Your posts are always so interesting! I'm always learning something about Alaska! I'm glad to hear that most of the Baby Chicks made it safely! Sorry about the sweet ones who didn't.
  20. Yup! I know how that is! And you can talk to them until you are blue in the face and they just don't get it! I have a really good friend who is a widower. He's cute. He's not super attractive, but cute. He has three little girls. I absolutely adore his daughters. He's forever complaining about being lonely. But yet unless the woman looks like a Super Model, tall, slim, long flowing brown hair, light eyes and big breasts, he's just not intersted! He even says, "I deserve to be with someone who is attractive!" I told him once, he deserves to be happy and waiting for Miss America to come around, he's never going to find that happiness!
  21. Yup Men kill me when it comes to being appearance driven! Then they marry some one who is a hottie and treats them like dirt! There are some beautiful women who are pretty ugly on the inside, just as there are some obese women who are absolutely beautiful on the inside. I'd rather marry a man who was not so attractive appearance wise, but a real handsome man on the inside! That's the difference between men and women. My ex was probably one of the best looking men I had ever seen in real life! He's 50 y/o and still is a hottie! But there were times, he wasn't very nice!
  22. Shelbi, I love you too Sweetpea! "A drive by post" that made me laugh! When I worked in the Ped's clinic doing triage, I used to have the parents bring their rash covered kids to the parking lot and I'd run out and check to see if they had anything contagious! We had a kid walk into a very busy clinic and play in the waiting room and he had the measles! After that we called it "Drive By Rashes" Fun huh? I'm glad you moved that appt up and they figured out what was wrong with hubby! I am sorry to hear it was an MI and there is a block! But I'm glad you have a Cardiac Cath scheduled! Things will get better now and you can get him on the road to being a healthy guy! I hope you enjoy the beach! I'm jealous! Brandy, I'll take you up on that plan -- visit a male stripper at his place of employment AND then we'll find me a man! I hope I didn't offend anyone with my post! I was actually asked out on a blind date for tonight, BUT I got really scared! He's someone I met online! I actually come off pretty well online and on the phone... it's the in person meeting that causes men to suddenly forget their wallets and have to go and get them -- then strangely enough, they never return! It's funny how men can get a picture of me in their minds, even if I've told them that I am overweight. They get this fantasy imagine in their heads from my voice. I've been told I have a nice phone voice. One of my parent's Moms has a 1-900 number and she makes a lot of money... she called the NICU once to see how her grandbaby was doing and I answered. She told me, I could make more money working her 1-900 number than I made working as a nurse. She said, I just had one of those voices. (I have other stories, but it's best not to share them online.):wink2: Mini, I'm going to get a sports car after I'm smaller! Another NSV is that I can now get behind the wheel of my daughter's car EVEN when she has the seat pulled way up for her short little stature! She's 5-3, I'm 5-10. Big difference and previously, if I didn't put the seat back before getting behind the wheel, I'd be stuck and not in a good way! Eek! See ya! dee~
  23. Bahotmamma! That's an adorable picture! She is so happy! Nothing sweeter than being 16 years old, cute as can be and have a sexy new X-terra! Lucky girl! Thanks for sharing your Baby's pic with us!
  24. I'm hoping those three faces are good! Drooling, Smirking, and Thumbs up!
  25. Yes, I'd say the Purple Pumps will be present - along with the velvet handcuffs and a really big Smile across my face and hopefully the face of Mr. Trouble2 also!
