  1. I love Miss Sophie! I bet she can give you a real run for your money! Pun Intended!
  2. Wow! Talk about something to motivate you!!! That's great! You can lose a lot of weight in 7 months! Think about Bahot and Brandy! They have rocked their bands in a very short time! I am glad I posted that before pic! I hate it! I was so scary! Can you imagine living like that? I had no idea I was so scary! Yikes! BUT I think I'm actually pretty cute now! I know, my head is getting bigger by the day! BUT I don't care! All I know is my before picture makes me really sad! It makes my knees and feet ache and my heart cry!
  3. MC Heather! I love it! Try some suspenders! That's what I do! Ha! I do that because I was afraid I would lose my pants and it might be wearing my bigger than big granny panties! I'm sorry your sister didn't get the job. Maybe something will happen good for her. I hate to see her go to Iraq. Tom told me my goal should be 170. That would make me have a normal BMI of 25. Which weight would give you a normal BMI? I hope one day you can come here again! I'd love to see you! You're a kick!
  4. I hope so too Brandy! It will! You've done so well already, I know it will work for you! Will I see you at the BBQ?
  5. thanks! When I see the two pics like that next to each other! I can see the difference! I can't believe it! Wow! Dr. K is my hero! He's saved my life! I remember my life back then, it was torture -- every day!
  6. Oh Mal, What a sadness! I am so sorry to hear that he will have such devastating residual problems. Such a simple night of play between freinds ended so badly. I am so sorry! How is your son doing?
  7. Great Pics Denise! Don't you love your Band? I know I do!
  8. Miss Munchkin! I am loving this new Love in my life! Last night he was in the airport in Bangkok waiting his flight for New Delhi. He insisted I go to sleep and I insisted I didn't need sleep -- I just wanted to talk. Well, we agreed I'd go to bed in 17 mins... that would be midnight my time. Time flew and I finally got to sleep after 3:30am! AND I woke this morning totally refreshed! I feel like a teenager and my Mom is going to come in my bedroom and tell me, "get to sleep!" One time when I was dating my ex fiance -- I was in high school at the time. We were telling each other goodbye in the drive by his car. We kissed and talked and realized it was cold. So we got in his car and continued our Good-byes... Soon the windows were totally fogged over and we heard this knocking on the passager window... my fiance was on the passanger side, since I just scooted in the driver's side -- he cleared the window and there was my Mom with rollers in her hair, her robe and slippers yelling -- "Isn't it time for bed?" Yikes! I was so embarrassed! I could have died! When I got in the house, I saw the clock and realized I had been out there saying Goodbye for almost 2 hours! ahhh Love makes you just lose track of time!!
  9. Thanks Lapdancer! It is nice to be in Love! It makes the entire world brighter!!! If I were you, I'd be giving that baby lots of extra kisses! My brother hated me when he was a baby! I was 10 years old when he was born and I used to kiss him constantly! Eventually, it became a punishment, "If you don't pick up your toys, Dee Dee is going to kiss you!" Boy did that little toddler run to pick up his toys! He's in his 30's now and I still feel like kissing him! He's just so cute!
  10. Thanks Mare! I went home to ABQ this last weekend and my Mom said the same thing! She was actually really nice this time! I have such a long way to go, I need those strokes! But yet, don't we all!?? My Sweet Friend, I am so sorry you're having a hard time! You've really been struggling. I hope that you come back to our board here and spend time letting us support you through the hard times. I'm sending you a big hug!
  11. Happy Birthday Denvergirl!!! I love the cheesecake factory! Yum! My fave is the Key Lime. Paula Deen has an excellent Low Fat, No Sugar cheesecake recipe that my daughter makes all of the time! It's a nice treat! What are you going to do for your birthday today?
  12. Patty, He is absolutely adorable! He's just a sweet doll baby! I can see how you just want to kiss him and hug him all of the time! How could you resist? Thanks for the pictures!!
  13. Mini, I will always remember when you told me about your ex and your present upgraded hubby -- how sweet and loving your new hubby is and how I will one day find someone as special. I hope I've found that person. I never thought I deserved to be loved or adored. My ex reminded me often of how there wasn't anyone out there who would love me and how I didn't deserve to be loved because I was so disgusting. It's hard to believe that someone would love me - when I hear those words in my head. I'm working hard to push those negative words out of my head and to believe that I do deserve to be loved by someone as sweet and good as my UGBF is.
  14. Brandy, I posted it, but I hated doing so! My UGBF (upgraded boyfriend) - told me that he's fallen in love with me. He says he loves everything about me. In October, we are going to spend some time together. I'm looking forward to it. He says, I won't know how much he loves me until we are together in person. Sigh -- heavy sigh~
  15. Lapdancer! You're going to love your recumbent bike! I love mine! My doctor told me it is good for my knee. I'll accept your no scale story, Honeybuns! I bet you can't wait to get home and weigh! I hate not having a scale close by! AND I'd LOVE to see a picture of that sweet grandbaby too!
  16. Thanks Brandy! I love my little upgraded boyfriend! I hope things work out and he'll be my mate! (am I rushing things?) I hope your fill is magical and you get the help you need! I hate to post the 5 lbs gain, because I know you'll be down 5lbs by Saturday!
  17. I'm pretty simple when it comes to my food. I learned from Dr. Oz that it's best to choose three or four meals that are enjoyable, healthy and simple and then incorporate those meals into your day. It's easy to stay on track if you don't have to think too hard. I'm good at pre-planning. I have several breakfasts that all include eggs. I love eggs and the Protein keeps me satiated longer. My typical breakfast includes: 1 egg either scrambled or fried in olive oil. (6 grams of protein) 1 small slice of very hearty whole grain toast from Great Harvest Bread. The Kansas Krunch and Dakota are my faves! (5 grams of protein) 1 Morningstar Farm Breakfast sausage (10 grams of protein) or 1 Morningstar Farm Original Griller (11 grams of protein - if I have this one, I'll eat half of my toast) Lunch: 1/4 c. brown rice 1/2 c. mixed veggies 4 oz of Tofu (semi firm sauted with soy and onions or a soy chicken patty) *** when I ate meat, I ate 4 oz of grilled chicken, turkey slices, or a ground beef patty*** Dinner: 1/4 c. Soy Milk - fat free 3/4 c. Steel Cut oatmeal with chopped walnuts, dried cranberries, dried apricots. Snacks are always fresh fruit - i.e. cherries, strawberries, blackberries on top of a fat free Activia vanilla yogurt. (I only eat a snack if I'm hungry between Lunch and Dinner) When I'm working, I drink 1/2 of a MIX1 drink so that I can ride my bike before showering. I have to get up at 4am to exercise before work. Other Protein drinks are too thick at that time of the morning.
  18. Thanks! I am riding my recumbent cycle every day! Seven days a week for 35 mins. I confess, while I was out of town, I didn't get to ride but I got back on this morning. I had two months where, I lost nothing one month and only 0.8lbs another month. I was pretty strict with my carbs during that time and I think that it stalled me. I added whole grains back into my diet and it got me going again! I love really good whole grains and I need them to feel satiated. I think I'm pretty fortunate to be in the Green Zone right now. I've had two fills, one was 3.3 and one was 0.25. I'm only 1/3 of my way there. I've lost 30% of my excess weight. If I think about it that way, it's pretty daunting! So I broke my goals down to 100/100/70. You'll see that each of us do things differently. It's good to find what works for you and then just tweak it as you go to keep the scale moving. I know the frustration of stepping on a scale every morning to see the same number! It sucks!

I went back and searched looking for this week's weigh in for Shelbi, Brandy, Woofay (where in the world are you?), Grandma Lapdancer (no scale in Texas, Missy? - or are you too busy hugging on that babyboy?), Amieru, bahotmamma, and Miss Marcy. Sorry, if I just missed it! You know when you're my age, the eyes just don't work as well anymore! Just kidding!
  20. Sunshine! You can ask anyone here - I went through that same problem! Oh my Goodness, I felt suicidal and I'm not exaggerating. It was really bad. I talked to my doctor about it and we both decided it was most likely hormonal. I didn't start on anything and in time, it got much better! I had stopped my meds for ovulation and I felt that was part of it. I started them hoping it would improve and I couldn't get ahold of it. Thankfully, eventually, it improved. Good Luck! My thoughts are with you!
  21. You're welcome Sweetpea! I am continuing my 100 day count down to a more balanced person. It hasn't been easy, but this morning, I made a new promise to myself. Back to the basics! I love the band and being able to return to the basics when I get off track. We are only human... and we need to have a tool that is forgiving! The band is forgiving. I love it!
  22. Brandy, It's hard to not say, "I told you so!" I actually never told him, he wouldn't ever find anyone as good as me, but I certainly thought it enough! I do hope the best for him, but he's become his worst enemy! My new BF is so sweet and so caring, I feel I have upgraded in a Big Way! He's a dream come true!
  23. Wow Mini, are you almost a month out now? Your poor baby and her Kennel cough! Poor Baby. I have heard of that before and it sounds bad.
  24. Everyone! thank you so much for the Birthday wishes! AND for the support of me -- not feeling so good about being 45! I love you guys! I just got back into town! I had a nice visit with family and friends. My bestfriend said such sweet things! We had a bit of drama with my ex and his current girlfriend. He really has hideous taste in women! I often wonder how in the world did he find me!! Ha!!! My BF is still just as dreamy as he was before and after spending some time with the ex - perhaps more dreamy! I am so lucky to have him in my life. He's just a really good person. Mal, how is your son's friend? I was shocked to hear how things happened. Poor guy! I can't imagine what he was going through! My Goodness! I will continue my prayers for you, your family and your son's friend. Deb, I'm so happy to hear that Tucker is acting more like himself doing those figure 8's! Your vet sounds wonderful! Denver, If I had it to do over again, I'd only tell those whom I am closest to. I told everyone. AND I do regret that. Most are very very supportive, but sometimes people, I do not even know come up to me and ask how much I've lost. With the way my weight fluctuates, they sometimes roll their eyes - when they hear I haven't lost more! I do not know what they expect, but I think most think the weight loss is like RNY. Happy Birthday July Twin!!! Mini, I'm like you, I know that I will never look good naked! BUT I'm hoping that I don't look as bad as I do now. The more I lose, the worse I look! I am going to have to have a lot of plastic surgery! My new motto, "It's better to feel good than to look good." Greenie! You're so close to weighing less than your DH! I will be at goal by the time, I weigh what my BF weighs! If I remember correctly, I think he weighs my goal weight! So when I get there, I'll achieve two goals! Brandy! Glad to see you're back with us! Sounds like you're doing a lot of traveling! Congrats on starting that Pouch Test Diet! Good for you! You are so close to goal, I can imagine it must be very frustrating! Don't let it get you down! You're going to get there! Are you going to be at the BBQ on Saturday? Lifesaver, I just can't understand why our bodies do what they do! Mini is dealing with it right now too! So is Brandy! It makes no sense!!! Just don't give up! I was reading about the Carb Cycling diet the other night. It made sense to me. When I hit my next plateau, I'm going to try it. Are you going to the BBQ? Bella! Please tell Kaci thanks! AND tell her Happy Birthday too! From me!! Shelbi! Hi Sweet Girl! I hope you're doing well! When are you going to get your next fill? Someone asked about Fills and reaching the Green Zone. I've had two fills, one was 3.3 at 8 weeks out and one was 0.25 at about 4 mos out. (i think) Anyway, I am now in the Green Zone. I think a lot of it has to do with my High BMI. I think there is just so much fat around my stomach that the band itself gives restriction! I don't know! I just know, I feel satiated for 4-5 hours after eating my one cup of food. Tom says that means Green Zone! Tom said that some may get there with 3 mls in their band and others may need 12 mls in a 14 ml band. It is entirely individual! Well, I promise to update our challenge post with everyone's weights - tomorrow! Sleep sweet everyone! xxxoooo, dee~
