  1. Munchi in a bitchy mood? I'll drink to that! I love you too Munchi! :tongue_smilie:ICU NICU L&D PP -- aren't we all a little moody at times?
  2. I didn't ask about a Hot Tub, but I asked about swimming and he said, 3 to 4 weeks. His reasoning was making sure the wounds have healed over.
  3. Oh Mini! That makes perfect sense! I am so sorry, I didn't get online sooner and see this message. Check it at 3 hours and see what you're getting.
  4. Well then it's settled - you'll trick or treat at my home. Wear a nice scary costume and I'll have the Gas-x ready for you!!!
  5. If you're not interested in the Fiber Chews I'll be passing out for Halloween, how about the Actical (calcium chews) or the Gas-X tabs? How about the Omega-3 Chews? They taste like Starbursts. I've got lots to choose from Munchie!
  6. Adorkable! I love your pictures! Those are just adorable! I love 'em! Thanks for sharing Missy!
  7. Excellent! I think you're on your way to good health and happiness!!!
  8. Thanks! And you're welcome! I used my results to guide my diet after finding out I was pre-DM. Make sure it's 2 hours after your meal. Any earlier won't be valuable information. I'm not sure which machine you have, but the Aviva uses the tiniest amount of blood and the results are in 5 seconds. I don't have that one, but that's the one I used to Rx for my patients.
  9. Well Mini, Those machines can be very inaccurate. Try washing your hands with really warm water and then keeping them dependent -- don't poke the center of the finger tip, poke on the sides - between the center and the nail. (press your finger tip with your other finger and the sides that are exposed is where you should poke) Does that make sense? Anyway, warming your hands with the water and poking on the sides, helps. You can have fruit as long as you eat a protein with it. I think of it this way (sorry, I should have been an elementary school teacher) the Protein are the parents -- the carbs are the kids -- you'd easily send the parents out on their own, but never send the kids out. -- So, always combine a carb with a protein. An apple with peanut butter (the sugar free kind) or 2% cheese for example is a good snack. If your 2 hour post-meal is 140 or less, that is ideal, but 160 or less is acceptable for someone with 'impaired glucose' (was your 160, exactly 2 hours after you took your last bite) If I'm too teachy or preachy, just PM me and yell at me there... not here in front of all my friends. (k?) Big Hug Mini! dee~
  10. Oh tell me about it! BUT right now, I wish I could just have that TOM! Instead try having 3 - going on 4 weeks of PMS! The water retention, the depression - turning into the grumpies!
  11. My Dear! I hope your check arrives soon! That's nuts! How can all of these things be happening to you? Stay strong! Don't let these things get you down or drive you to the B&J!
  12. I hate new Nurse Managers too! I worked in a NCU in NM and in 13 years we had 11 Nurse Managers! I was the interim Manager and it was the worst job!!! Middle management sucks! AND NOT IN A NICE WAY!
  13. Munchie, are you kicking Jaime's butt or your Mom's?
  14. Is that a good thing Jaime or a bad thing?
  15. Oh My Goodness! Your Mom is totally out of control! Your poor sister! I bet she wanted to crawl under the desk! Did she actually think her call would have made a difference? BESIDES your sister has a right to do what she wants with her life... I agree 26 y/o is an adult!
  16. Oh Goodie! Is that when you'd have to double glove, Nurse Munchie? Thanks!!!
  17. Well, I guess, that's good Mini! It's interesting how every doc is different. I used to work for 9 doc and 4 midlevel providers... everyone of them managed their patients a little differently. At times it was quite frustrating. If you manage your sugars with your diet, it's doable. Let me know if you need my help or hinderance!
  18. Dorkie, I'm at work and can't see your pics, but I'll see them once I get home. I do love your new Avatar! AND I agree your face is just adorable!
  19. Hey Mini aka Puff Mama! I lost 3.2lbs this week. for a total of 4 lbs lost since the start of the challenge. The scale is finally moving in the right direction!
  20. Well You're RIGHT the BFL is pretty hardcore! But it's doable and IF Soon-to-be-formerly-fat-Heavy-DD can do it, anyone can. My butt muscles are killing me! I asked my daughter last night if she'd massage them for me (just as a joke of course) and she said, "NO! Then I'd have to cut my hand off." Nice daughter, huh? Her abs are killing her! I told her, "hey I breastfed you and changed your diapers! do you really think think these breasts got this way on their own?" ARGH!
  21. I just threw up a little too!!! That is the worst! AND think about passing all the nasty stuff along in their ice cream! Expressed Breastmilk carries all the same properties as blood - i.e. HIV and all the other infectious diseases! Nice huh? Would you like a little HIV with your ice cream?
  22. Oh! I'm sure I'll fit right in! Esp. if I'm still PMS'g by then! I'll be worse than Puff Mama and I'll be meaner than a rattle snake! I'm sure I'll make lots of friends AND scare many children! Do they really think I'll be giving out candy? That's insane! I have a band! I'm going to be giving out candy! I'll be giving our Fiber Chews! That's it!
  23. I was thinking we should try to get a BOGO for restraining orders! One for your ex and one for mine! Maybe one for that stupid sitter freakazoid!
  24. Tally!! That sucks!! I am sorry to hear that!
  25. Oh no!!! I am on a rant myself! The prolonged PMS is causing me to be a witch with a capital B! I like your style Munchkin!!!
