Hi, I had my extended Anchor cut tummy tuck last Oct, and had a really bad wound sepration from the belly button down to the top of my cookie, and over to my right hip, turned into a great big open thing, not a [pretty sight, had to be packed 2 times a day with guaze and saline and cream. it took 4 months to close up. I was left with a ugly butt like scar on my tummy from the way it heal;ed. so I had my revision done May 5th to correct this. He basically did another tummy tuck, this time from the belly button only down. also did a breast lift while I was under. So one month out and I feel so much better, I just need to get my azz into the gym. No more excuses!!! You have done an amazing job with your weight loss!!!!

Makes a 105 day even hotter wearing a binder or garment.. WOHOOOO fun times. I did went shopping and replaced ALL my panties with bikini ones. somethng I have not worn since I was 17 and had my 1st child, had a fat tummy ever since. Now it's all I own!!!! Poor hubby is going to take away my victorias secret cc. if I dont stay out of that store. I'll try and post some new pix this week. So how have you been Karey??

Mood swings and emotional crying, yeah I can tell you all about those with this last round of PS. My Dr also said my hormones got all out of whack from cutting off so much skin from the tummy. Well I am so over being on this roller coaster, I just want to be normal again,,,, wait, normal, whats that,,,hehehe -
OK so I am just about 1 month out from revision. tummy looks great, I am happy with it finally. Breasts well I wish I wouldn't have done the lift this time as I'm not liking the way the nipples feel, kinda like a button I guess on a couch sewed on... PS says it will get better and back to normal, I sure hope so.... This time around I have awful swelling, the first time, I didn't swell much at all, but this time, swell hell!!!!!! OK well I am off to go buy some bikini panties at Victorias!! WOHOOOOOOOOOOO

May 19) - Nadya Suleman, the so-called "octomom," is hospitalized after undergoing a second surgery within four days, according to Radaronline.com. Suleman, a single mother of 14 children -- including octuplets born in January -- underwent her first operation last week to have fibroid tumors removed, a procedure that will require doctors to take out about half of her uterus. However, complications with excessive bleeding forced doctors to suspend surgery at that time. On Monday, doctors at a hospital in Bellflower, Calif., performed a second surgery to finish removing the tumors. Her attorney said the procedure went well and that Suleman is recovering. Roll Call...All having a Revision From Band to RNY Come on In
Shalee04 replied to Brittwoman's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Have you checked out a vertical Sleeve. I have been reading alot on them lately. wish I would have had this option before I decided on my band I might have gotten a sleeve instead. Sory your having band issues. -
I had my revision on May 5th. what was supposed to be a 1 hour surgery turned into 3.5 hours. He was revising my tummy tuck from Oct that I had severe wound seperation issues with and was left with a big chuck of scar tissue from under my belly button to the top of my mons and extending along over to my right hip. We also decided to go ahead and do a small breast lift to both breast since he was going to be releasing some scar tissue in them also. He basically gave me a whole new TT without any muscle tightning, I have a new smaller belly button and so far everything looks wonderful!!!! I have 1 drain and I was hoping to get it removed yesterday but it is still putting out more then he would like so 1 more week with this pain in the cookie drain. My breasts hurt more then anything else this time around, we dont see any wound problems and are keeping our fingers crossed we wont. Thanks everyone for following my journey.

Hello~~Hello~~~Hello~~ :blink:Peeking into the room. Boy it sure has been quiet in here. I just thought I would see how everyone is doing, Me well I did get a fill in Feb but I really haven't lost any weight so to speak of, I am hovering around 175ish. It's ok tho at least I'm not gaining. I will be going in to have a revision to my Oct 2009 tummy tuck. I had those wound seperation issues that took over 4 months to completly heal and close up. Well I was left with a weird looking tummy from the big hole  I had. So I go in next Tuesday May 5th to get it fixed.!!!! Yah I can't wait to have a normal looking tummy. I just hope and pray we don't have the same issues, Dr doesn't think I will as we aren't doing the extensive work he did the the first time. OK well I hope all the Nov. Nymphs are doing great!!!!! Hey Hollyberries, great to hear from you. Sorry your having probs with your band. Have you researched the vertical sleeve?? I know theres a thread on the board here about it. and a few ladies that have gone from band to sleeve and they love it. They seem to have none of the issues banded peeps have. might be something to look into. Momto1, surgery went well, it was only supposeds to be 1 hour, but took almost 3.5 hours. He had to cut out alot of scar tissue that formed from my wound seperation and so he essetually (sp) did a whole new tummy tuck on me. He also did a cresent breast lift on both breasts and took out some scar tissue from them and more scar tissue around my right side that also had wound seperation. I only have 1 drain this time. The pain isnt as bad as the first time, but stillhurts like hell!!! I really dont think I could ever gop thru with another PS, I will just learn to live with my wobbly arms and fat thighs!! I havent seem my tummy yet, maybe tonight when hubby gets home we can take the binder offf and see how it looks. Take care all.c

Jeni's Stage 2 Plastic Surgery!!
Shalee04 replied to Jeni 85's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I had wound seperation issues/necrisis and the wound becasme so big that I was on bed rest for 5 weeks to keep it from getting bigger. It took over 4 months to completly heal. we did wet to dry dressings and packing it that whole time. anywyas I was left with a bit of hard scar tissue and a portion of my tummy along the top of the mons area and up to my belly button didn't heal IN all correctly and to me it resembles a small butt. Not the look I was going for when I had this TT. so he's going to cut from hip to hip, take out all the scar tissue, also cut from the belly button on down to the mons take out all that scar tissue, pull me down tight again and make a new BB hole. I also have a bit of scar tissue on my right side towards my back that also had a wound seperation, and he will be fixing that also. He said I should be ok, he doesn't forsee the same issues I had the 1st time, He removed 9 lbs and I had alot of stretch marks and thin skin to work with... It happens, it was a risk I was willing to take to be rid of the skin. I just want this to be over with so I can enjoy summer!!!! OK work awaits me. -

Shalee04 replied to Jeni 85's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Ahhh the joys of being young and able to bounce back so fast. I to think your amazing in the fact that your able to be up and willing to go for round 2 already. My Oct surgery kicked my butt, I guess being 43 didn't help. I go in Tuesday to have my revision and am scared to death of just that. You are going to look like a supermodel when your all done, You have worked very hard for this, best of luck to you in your next step.!!! Can't wait to see the pix. -

Over the years I never went to the Dr for my rashes, it was just something I dealt with on my own, was too embaressed to go to the Dr and say, "hey Doc I have a rash from my fat belly " I also never imagined I would have the band, and be able to have my only dreamed about tummy tuck. so with that being said, if I had to do over again, I would go to Dr's and get the rashes, back pain, ect all on paper. so that when the time comes and you want/need plastics, you have it. we went ahead and sent in for insurance for my PS, but was denied, so my great hubby made it possible for me to have my TT last Nov. He's a keeper.
