What ever came of your slip???
-
I just found out today that my band has slipped upwards also. My have changed insurance co's since being banded almost 2 yrs ago. I went on Kaiser thru my hubbys work in Feb. asked for a baritric Appt. and after alot of BS and talking to more pople then I cared to, I was told I would be contacted. Well I was, 7 months later for an appt. I went to it last week, after talking to him, he scheduled an upper GI as I requested, becasue in the last few months or so I have gotten stuck more then I ever have, and it feels different. So I have my upper GI test, and sure enough its slipped up. No small pouch at all in there. So my main problem is, my husbands work is changing insurance providers, and as of Oct. 1st I wont have Kaiser anymore. Thanks alot Kaiser for taking 7 months to schedule appts. $#$#$^

Yep, for some reason, I'm not liking her at all.

HAHHAHA Cute... Ok I will jopin the challenge, but I'm not holding my breath to lose 10 lbs. I have been stuck at 175 forever. I had my upper GI on wednesday and the radiologist told me it didn't look normal, so Kaiser calls today and says that my band is too high up, and they will call me with an appt to come in to talk to the dr. Now this is the same Dr5 that it has taken me 7 months to get an appt with, When I went on my husband plan in Feb I asked for a bariatric appt and was given a whole bunch of BS about No coverage for bariatric, Well long story short, they have it, just had to drive 3 hours to get there, no prob I say, then it took almost 7 months to get the dang Appt. Now theres a problem and guess what, hubbys stupid work is changing providers and will no longer have Kaiser as of,,, Oct 1st. *^%^$#@%^ So I am waiting to talk to this kaiser dr to see what he thinks, I also have a call into my Band Dr that placed my band 2 yrs ago and I had the test results faxed to his office and want to see what he thinks. It will cost me $350 to chat with him, but I value his opinion, I really really like him, But for him to fix my band wont be covered under insurance, old or new... Sigh...... Maybe the stress will cause me to lose 10 lbs,,hehehe J/K not how I want to lose weight. Ok have a good day everyone.

Mimi, your dr and my Dr must be brothers. Mine wants me to weight 120 and 135! HAHAHHAHAHHAHA I tell him everytme I see him, it isnt going to happen. He gets mad at me, tells me I'm not trying hard enough and to come in every 6 weeks for a fill. Well doc, I'm not coming in every 6 weeks at $350.00 a fill. I dont need a fill anyways every 6 weeks. I'm 5'6 and my own goal I set is 155. I'm at 173-175 right now, have been at this weight for almost a year, so he sees me as a failure also. Uhmmm I guess he forgets I have lost about 80lbs. I dont think thats failing. And if I never lose another pound I'm ok at this weight, AS long as I dont gain a single pound. hehehehe Freaking Dr, I told him I would look like an anorexic skeliton at 120-130....

Happy Monday all. We went and visited the in-laws this weekend to try and discuss Chrismas with them, they always want to do a HUGE extravaganza with tons of gifts and we have been telling them all year we wont be participating in a huge thing. We asked them to tone it down as the economy is bad, I'm not working, had 2 surgeries this year, our dog just had surgery, and hubby had a 25% pay cut and hours cut and we are not going to go into more debt over christmas. so his mom gets all upset, as does his sister, his dad is cool. But damn those 2 women all they want is gimmee gimmee gimmee gifts. Sheesh Sometimes I just want to go away over christmas so I dont have to deal with those 2. Ok venting over...... I have an upper GI scheduled Wednesday morning to check my band. it has taken me 7 months to get an Appt with a bariatric Dr thru so cal kaiser. when my cobra ran out from my job I went on hubbys kaiser, but dang to get a band doc appt is crazy. Oh and Now his work has switched insurance plans and as of Oct 1st we no longer have kaiser. Grrrrrr so back to square one with bariatric drs. At least Im getting the GI to check band. I can always see my Surgeon who placed the band, but he charges $350.00 to do my fills and any tests he schedules arent covered thru kaiser. so its all self pay. Hopefully the new insurance will have bariatric covereage of some type..... I havent gained, but I havent lost anyting is so long..... OK time to get some stuff done around here

Hi Julie, Yes I know where Wasco is. Actually this town isnt so bad, I just have to get used to it. And I agree with the bugs and humity, when hubby was in Virginia for 6 months it was beautiful and greeen and like you say, humid and buggy,,,hehehehe I will also take our earthquakes anyday over hurricanes and tornados.

Josie, hehehe yes I noticed you and I on the same threads. heheh and now Mimi has joined us here also. HAHAH Susie, I love your excitment for the day, made me smile. My excitment was putting away the 6 loads of laundry that have been piling up in my bedroom for a couple weeks. I heard hubby grumbling about socks at 5 am this morning.... Ok time to go make dinner. then I'm watching the biggest loser!! I love that show.

Mimi, your incision is looking good, Sorry for the seroma, but it will get better, trust me, I had a wound seperation that took 4 months to heal and then I needed a revision to fix it, you will get thru this and look Marvolous!!!!! The pain pill are your friend, use them when needed, you dont need to have the pain. Josi, I too had a couple of those inner stictches not disolve and have to be picked at to get them out. I agree about the panties, I'm one of those that can't stand the thong up my butt, hehehe But I have been a very frequent shopper of Vistorias secret and I am proud to say I own WAYYYY to many pairs of size Medium panties in all colors and pretty fabrics. WOHOOOOO no granny panties for me anymore. :-) I'm going to have to go look online for this hanky panky panty line....

I went to Zales and got a ring guard, they put it on for me, and I wore that for about a year. then it got to the point that I HAD to get my ring resized. It went from a tight size 8.5 to a loose 6. Its been another year and I could probably go down .5 of a size right now. I'm just waiting to see if I can drop these last freaking 20-25 lbs

Hi all, Ive been a bad eater this week. I made Cookies and well then I ate some of them. But I did send the rest to work with my hubby yesterday to get them out of the house. Cari I too have thyroid issues that was discovered a year after banding, so now I am on meds for that, hoping they get the dosage all figured out real soon for me tho. I know that I need to get my butt back into the gym to kick start my weight loss again and tighten things up. Have a great weekend everyone!!!
