How exciting this is for you. :-) Will you be staying in the hospital a few days?

Allie, take it easy, your body will be healing for a long time. As for the nipple not maching, your breast will be swollen for a while, they also take a few months to completly take thier final shape, after all swelling is done. I wish I could get a thigh lift, but I'm scared to do it, and I also don't have the $$$ I will be paying my tummy and boobs off for 12 more months.... Take it easy... :-)

Allie, Glad yur doing good, sorry about the UTI, those are no fun. Just remember to take it easy and let your hubby help you with everything. And remember the pain meds are your friend right now. I know the drains are a pain, but its better to have them now and not get them out to early,and risk having seromas. Take it easy and don't overdue it. :-)

Hi ladies, sorry I have been MIA, Just been busy with things around here. Tomorrow is my twins's birthday, dang I can't believe they are 24!!!!! Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. Your going to love the new you. But is you plastic surgeon on board with you doing mostly liquids 2 weeks before the BIG surgery? The reason I ask is our bosies go thru a HUGE trauma and we need to be in the best nutricinal state we can to help with the recovery. If you plan on this liquids I would recomend in addition to high Protein shakes, that you try and get some Protein bullets. You can find them at GNC or online even, they have 42-45 grams of protein in each one. I lived on these in the week aftr surgery as I had a hard time eating solids after surgery. They are a great way to get in 150 plus grams of protein a day to help with the recovery process. Don't be bummed about being 50lbs from goal, I wasn't at goal when I went under the knoife, and I do not regret it at all. I look forward to following the rest of your journey. Kelly :-)

Well I became a bandster 2 years ago today.:drool::w00t: I took the big step. I did what I said I would never do, I had weight loss surgery. And I'm glad, even with the band issues I'm having now, I'm glad I did it. While I am still not at my goal weight I am down 80 lbs:smile2: I went from a tight size 22 to a tight size 8 jeans, (1 pair), but mostly size 10's :-). I no longer wear tight XXL tops, I fit into mediums. I no longer own any granny panties, I went out and made victoria happy and purchased WAYYYY to many pairs of cute medium size panties. :thumbup: I also stocked up on cute bras, to fit my new boobies that my hubby bought me, because mine disappeared with my weight loss. My foot went down a size, my wedding ring from a 9 to a 5.5. I no longer have to shop in the "big girl section or stores and hope they have something cute, I shop in the "small" girl stores and always find something cute. :-) I am not a perfect bandster, I could exercise more, I could eat a little better, But I am a good bandster, I do exercise, and I do eat Good almost all of the time, even with my band that isn't working a t the moment, I make it work for me. I eat ALL my meals on a saucer at home, I practice portion control, I try and always eat my protein first. And while I havent lost any weight in a while, I haven't gained any either. I am happy!!!! While I used to hide from the camera, I now don't mind it. Ok, that was my little boast. "stepping down now" :-) I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!!!!!

$17,000 In had an extended tummy tuck with a anchor cut, mons lift, breast lift and silicone implants. The price included the implants,the Surgery, all OR fees, and surgery center fees, the anestesthiologist, 2 nights in a healing facility with round the clock nursing care. All garments all follow up Pre and post op visits to my Dr. it did not include pre-op testing, or prescriptions, BUT my insurance covered all of these with only a co-pay out of my pocket. I ended up having a wound seperation issue with the tummy tuck, (i'm diabetic and this is more common then most know) Anyways my Ps came to the hotel to see me every day after work, then I went to his office every week for another months then every 2 weeks for another months after that. He would give me some of the creams and guaze that would be needed by us to take care of the issue. I ended up having to have a revision, he did that for free, and all follow up care also. I only had to pay a very small fee to the OR and Anastesthiologist for the revision this past May. Kelly

I was approved for Care Credit and also Capitol One health care account. We choose the Capitol one as they were running a very low interest rate deal last year when I applied.

Allie, I had an extended tummy tuck with anchor cut , mons lift, small breast lift with implants on Oct 23rd 2008. I too was given pain pills, but for the first 3-4 days I LOVED the pain pump. I did have to pay extra for it and am SOO glad I did. it was a suction type one that automatically delivered medication directly to my tummy wounds. I was cut way back on each hip and also from pubic bone to the bottom of my breasts. Like Sue said stay on top of your pain meds, dont wait for them to wear off, or you will HURT!!! I used a wedge pillow, and I am short so I used a toilet seat riser. I used ice packs on my breast as they felt like they were going to explode on about day 3-5. so I put gel ice packs over the wrappings every few hours. I wasn't hungry and didn't want to eat anything but had to so I lived off of Bullet type Protein drinks. 42 grams of protein in each, so I drank 3 a day along with Soups for the most part of the first week and a half. Like Sue said also, I still dont have all the feeling back in my tummy from the top of the public bone to my belly button. I also just got the feeling back in one nipple, the other still none. :-( But I did have all feeling in breasts after the 1st surgery, In May of this year I went in for a revision to fix some puckering of my breasts and to fix my tummy where I had wound seperation. and Since that surgery is when I have no feeling in nipples, the left one just came back a few weeks ago. I have a thread on here called Shalees October overhaul, you can check it out, it's been a year, so I cant remember it all. :-) Extra binder is nice so you can always have one clean and ready to change into. they can get messy. I was given meds in my IV during surgery to help with my nausea, a patch to put on the morning of surgery and extras to have also. one lasts 3 days. :-) If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Well I am ready to step over to the other side. I have scheduled my plastic surgery for October 23rd at 7:00am!!!:thumbup: On the menu for that day is a Fleur-De-Lis tummy tuck. In english it is basically an extended tummy tuck with anchor incision. Also a mons lift and breast implants. After consulting with 4 PS's and the one I choose twice we determined I didn't really need a lift, sure it would help a little but in the end I am not really as droopy as I think I am and that with the implants I should be very happy. (I'm just deflated it seems) He estimated 7-9 pounds to be removed during surgery from the tummy, Ddng that' alot of flabby skin just hanging around. Then a few days ago someone called from Ps's office and asked if I would like to donate my skin, I was like, I don't care what you do with it as long as it;s gone from me, I want it no more!!!!! The breasts I think have given me the most stress over trying to decide should I?, Do I really need them?,can I live with a flat tummy and deflated boobs? what size to get, not to big, not to small, not tupperware looking, Arrgghhhhhhhhhhhh big stress headaches all around because of boobies!!! With the tummy tuck it is somethng I have wanted for years, so it was a no brainer, just find the right surgeon, and how soon can you do it Doc!!! We went with a dr that is almost 3 hours away with LA/Bev hills traffic, so we will be gettng a hotel room for a few nights, as I don't and I repeat DON'T want to be in a car with my husband in LA traffic. Plastic surgery and crazy traffic and my hubby driving won't mix well, and won't make for a very happy Kelly. Even tho I am not at my goal weight, I feel and my PS feels this is a good time for me to do this. It also might help with my weight loss platue that I had been having. I am excited and scared all rolled into one. I am driving my hubby bonkers with all the pix I send/show him of tummies and boobs. Well that's about it for now, I am actually on my way to my PCP to give him my list from the PS for my pre-ops tests and hopefully he will be on board with me having this done. 3 months ago when I mentioned it to him, he thought I should wait another year. Maybe if I show him the belly n all her glory he will agree with me:eek:
