Welcome Molly. And those are great personal challenges!!!

Well I had a 3 year old, then twins. So there was NO WAY I was going to hold my kids while out shopping. Now if one baby started crying and I had someone with me to help out, Then of course I would pick up and comfort the crying child. But for the most part, any time we were out in public my babies were in thier seats. At home the kids got held ALOT. Seems when you have twins people come out of the woodwork to see them and hold them. But I know I got little sleep that first year as it seemed one was always awake and wanting to be held, then the other when the first one went to sleep. They are now 22 and my oldest is 25, all thrived very well. I don't think anyone should judge another person by seeing them in a grocery store with a baby seat. Just my 2 cents.

I've had 2 c-sections, and 1 hysterctomy. My lap banding was a walk in the park compared to those 3 surgeries....

Holly, Thanks,, Yes it feels great. I knew I had gained BUT didn't realize HOW big I had gotten. Now when I look back at these pix, I can see my big ol round basketball face, WOW. And now I have cheekbones and only 1 chin instead of 3. Now if I can just get rid of my 3 tummies,,,

The first 2 are from Disneyland Sept 06th, 2007 our 4th wedding annivesary, about 250 lbs.:eek: The one in the orange shirt is this past March 12th 2008 and about 197...:thumbup:

Hi, Good luck with all your pre Op testing. I go in next week to see my PCP for a new round of tests to check my blood sugars, and hopefully the type 2 diabets they found at my Pre-Op testing will be gone. I also have to call around to see if I can find a new Band Dr, Not that I want to, But One that will take and BILL in network my insurance. My Dr is Great, love him, But they bill ouot of network and I have neded up paying almost everything. and my fills are $350.00 and well I have insurance that would cover it so I want to utilize it. I am new to this area, only 1 year here, don't really know anyone out here, So nice to chat with you. Kelly

Hi, I am from Bakersfield also, and I went to a seminar at the Mercy hospital on Truxton. I just called the number and told them I would be attending... I didn't need any PCP referral at all as the seminars DONT usally cost anything to insurance co's.

I'll take a PB anytime over the DS problems...

We got some $$ back from taxes, so we treked on over to our local Sears store to buy a treadmill last saturday. We ended up coming home with an Eliptical Machine. DH and I both tried all the treadmills and eliptical machines at the store and really liked the way it felt. Yes some felt very rickity to us, so we bought a more steady one as there will be 3 of us using it in my house....

I just bought a eliptical machine, I want to try and be at 175 by June 13th when we go to Cancun for 2 weeks. I got my last fill on Feb 26th and am scheduled to get my next one May 1st. Ok I have a intersting question???? With the mons lift, Do they cut any of it off at top on the mons?? Or do they just pull it up and reconnect it to the tummy.. Kelly

I had my first fill 8 weeks after surgery, then my 2nd fill 8 weeks after that. I am scheduled for my next one May 1st which is about 9 weeks after the last one... I don't have "Tight" restriction, but I have some and I am still losing 1-2 pounds a week.

Karey, Thats great news about your daughters dress.. I am glad the shop is doing the right thing. They know brides that aren't happy with the way a shop treats them will tell all thier friends and they don't want that. Your hubby sounds like mine, that they have a "calmer" way to talk say then I do.. :

I am a manager at my job , and all you have to do is tell them your having surgery, and want to take a week of medical leave. and if they still wont let you have the time off, ask for FMLA. It's true it is the law and they really can't say No. You are giving them enough notice that there is No reason to deny it..... If there is still a problem, Call your HR Dept, or the next level manger and talk to them......
