Hello Fellow April and April Fools Sleever's,
Glad I found this site, Wish I would have earlier. I had my surgery on April 1st. It has not been smooth, look forward to talk with all of you as we continue this journey.
Thank you for your reaponce...I know that telling surgeon I was drinking more than I was, is not the best decision I made but I wanted to be home after the long 7 days in hospital already.
I have been seeing the doctor for this issue since surgery...just am not sure if I should give the last procedure to help expand the narrowing in stomach from what was the size of a pen to what my surgeon wants as normal a little longer. I can eat eggs just fine in the morning and drink my Protein shakes but anything other than that can cause problems. It feels like it did before the ballooning procedure (don't know technical name for it). I'm just trying to figure out how long I should wait before I call and tell him it is back to where it was again. The GI doctor told me the chances of them having to expand the narrowing part again is high. I'm just discouraged.
New here:
I had my surgery on April 1st 2014 and I did not have a hiatal hernia but had a previous surgery to fix one that needed to be released to make the sleeve function better. I ended up very swollen unable to drink anything by mouth. Was in the hospital for 7 days at which point I lied to surgeon and told him I was drinking way more than i was. Since being home I kept having problems with eating and drinking, went in to have an upper gi and still had issues with how it was slow to move. Scheduled an endoscopy the doctor could not even get the tube down into my stomach because of the food still sitting in there. So had to reschedule that and was unable to eat anything more than Clear liquids for 36 hours before to make sure that didn't happen again.Went in and the liquid was still in there from the day before (I ate last at 4:00pm the day before procedure was at 3pm so 23 hours later). Well since the did the balloon treatment I was able to drink more and not as much pain when I did eat. Well this was short lived and is now back...I just want to feel as close to normal as I can, it is hurting my exercise because I don't want to do anything when this hurts like this. Has anyone experienced this...I don't know if I should contact the doctor again or give it a little more time ( it has been 2 weeks)
Thanks in advance
