    Lap fill

Thanks for the reply....I couldn't even wait 24 hours it was so uncomfortable. I called my dr. this morning and went back to the hospital and had some of the fill removed. I can now drink water comfortably....so I knew it was too tight. I guess I am sensitive because I am only at 1.8cc's...but I feel comfortable now.

    Lap fill

Hey guys, I had a quick question for everyone....I just had my second lap fill this afternoon.....my band is now filled 2.5 ccs. I am sticking to clear liquids as I was told....however, I have only been able to get down a little bit of water. Also, I keep spitting up saliva....is this normal? I was hoping that my band would loosen a little over the next few days....but is it normal to spit up saliva? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Lani B
  6. Hey everyone, I was banded in 10/07 and I am doing pretty well. I am trying new foods but lately if I try a new food and it does not go down well, I am able to get it up and out pretty quickly. However, I am nervous that my band may slip because I heard that if you regurgitate a lot your band may slip. So I am have become very apprehensive to try new foods, even though my nutritionist is encouraging me to do so. Does anyone have any advise for me? Also, what are the signs of band slippage? Next question, why is it that I can eat one kind of food in the evening and have no negative reaction and then try to eat the same exact food in the morning and have a horrible reaction. Any ideas? Your responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Question....

Hey everyone, I received my first fill last week. All week long I could not keep solids down and I kept "sliming" all week. So I went to my dr. and he said that I was "overfilled". So I went back to the hospital and some Fluid was removed from my band. So I am only filled one cc now. I am nervous that I won't lose weight with the fill adjustment. However, I still can't have solids without feeling some pain. Is this normal? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:redface:

    Hello

Hey everyone, I had my first fill about a week ago. I still cannot eat solids and mushy food is also a challenge. I find myself having the "sliming" experience too. Is this normal? How long until my band loosens just a little? I am happy with the weight loss but I am yearning to be able to eat some solid food again. Any input, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:rolleyes2:

    First fill...and a question

I was filled 2.3 cc's. I forgot how many cc's my band is in total. I am seeing my dr. on Friday and will ask him then. If things are still painful when I eat then, I will let him know. Thanks for the suggestions!!
  10. Hey everyone, I just had my first fill two days ago....2.3 cc's. liquids go down easily but I tried my first mushy food and it really hurts when it goes down. Is this normal? When will eating with no pain happen? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:redface:
  11. Hey guys, I was banded about two and a half weeks ago. I just want to share a recent experience that I had. Last week at most first post-op visit, my dr. told me that I could start to eat scrambled eggs. Needless to say I was thrilled because I could take a break from my liquids. So I had a little bit of scrambled eggs all week with no problems. I then went out to breakfast this morning with my mom for her birthday. I ordered a plain scrambled egg omlette (no butter). When I got it, it was a large portion. So I immediately cut it in half and started to eat and chew half of the omlette slowly. Everything was going fine. I finished my half and I must have eaten one bite too many. I immediately started to feel lightheaded and got a very bad full feeling. I started to get nervous that I would have to throw-up. My mom kept me calm and escorted me to the ladies room. Luckily I did not get sick so I left the diner. I then walked around the parking lot for about fifteen minutes which helped me feel slightly better. I then went home and about an hour later I felt much better. So the good news is that I know that the band is working!! The thing I took from this experience that I can pass on to everyone is that when you get a portion size at a restaurant cut it in half and then cut it smaller than that. Then chew...chew...chew and eat very sloooow. I think my negative reaction was from not chewing enough and eating too fast. Good luck to everyone......25 pouds lost and counting!! :whoo:

    Question Re: Cystal Light

Thanks for all the crystal light responses. I am going to add it to my liquid diet today.

Congrats to you too. I was banded one week ago on 10/3. At the beginning I felt a lot of back pain too but it diminished over the last couple of days. I am feeling pretty good now, so hang in there:)
  14. I had a quick question, I was banded on Wed. 10/3.....I have been drinking my water, but can I add crystal light mix to it? Any input would be greatly appreciated. :clap2:

    Banded??? Check in here

Thanks for your concern. I am seeing my doctor this Friday for my post-op and I will talk to him about it. I do think that it is gas pain though because when I move around it feels alot better.
