I had so much energy for the first four months after surgery, but now I find myself feeling wiped out by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. A short nap usually works to get me back on track, but who has time for that?? I always get 60 to 80 grams of Protein and at least 64 oz of fluids, maybe more. I am taking Multivitamins, Calcium, Vitamin D2, Biotin, and Iron daily as well. I am wondering if it could be low B12 level? OR.... Not eating enough calories? I get around 1200 a day, within 50 calories up or down. Thoughts or advice anyone?

I didn't like the different kinds of chicken broth I tried after surgery, until one day I was searching the chicken broth shelf for something new and noticed that the next shelf over had Mrs Grass noodle soup! I just made the soup and didn't add the noodles! Mrs Grass became a staple for me in the beginning!!

I have fund the Premier protein shakes at Meijer as well. My Walmart carries them all the time too. -

what is your weight loss at 3 mos post op?
dv1osusie! replied to Elizabeth Gonzalez's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had lost 68 lbs at 3 months. I agree though, that everyone loses differently, and losing too fast doesn't give your body time to adjust. -
247.8 this week, switching from Friday to Monday. Down 5.6 lbs!

I'm pretty sure I have experienced this twice now. The first was at work, I had unsweetened applesauce with granola and raisins mixed in for breakfast, About half of a Lean Cuisine Cheesy broccoli and potatoes for lunch, then a package of chewy Sweet Tarts mid afternoon ( not the best snack, I know). About 1 1/2 hrs after the candy...... Felt lightheaded, queasy, weak, looked pale, and had a light sweat. That day I are a protein bar and felt better within a few minutes. Today I had turkey sticks and cheese sticks for breakfast, chili dog for lunch, and creamy peanut butter mid afternoon, with the same symptoms, except I still felt full from the peanut butter, So I didn't eat anything, but laid down for an hour or so and felt better but not great until about an hour ago. Any advice on how to handle this better if it happens again? Obviously candy and peanut butter are no longer acceptable snacks....

Dumping Syndrome....... Advice?
dv1osusie! replied to dv1osusie!'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I thought that might be the issue, because because I felt very full, but I did have loose stools all afternoon(sorry if TMI). I just don't want to feel that way again if I can help it. The first time was all on me, but the second, I thought I would be okay. Mostly Protein all morning, and the Peanut Butter only had 3 gm of sugar. Thank you everyone for your help -
I would like to try! Starting weight 253.4 Goal weight 240. That would be 100 lbs lost!!

In the beginning I had a lot of acid too. The thinned yogurt and milk really helped. I found that Mrs Grass chicken soup was soothing too, you just have to strain out the noodles.

can you live a normal life aftet a sleeve surgery?

I am almost 16 weeks post sleeve. I can honestly say I am SO Happy to have made the decision to have the sleeve !! I can eat pretty much anything, greasy foods aren't great, and breads and potatoes fill me up fast, but I can eat a little if anything! Fluids get easier too, sips at first, but you will learn how much you can drink at a time. My best investment was 1cup size storage containers. I make whatever sounds good for a meal, then freeze the leftovers for another day. Way better than eating the same thing day after day. I am down 85 lbs and feel awesome! -
