I was told that it was muscle tissue healing. had the same kind of pain last week and a few days later it just eased up. Now it's just about gone and I'm able to bend and turn on either side when I'm laying down. I walk a lot and I feel that helped a lot. Hope you feel better soon Had my surgery on June 17.

Hi everyone my name is Monika, I had surgery on June 17, 2014. My surgeon was Dr. John Feng, who I might say, is awesome!!! I've been doing okay so far, still have some pain, but weaning myself off of the pain meds. I have to take potassium chloride for 2 weeks which is some nasty stuff to drink. I woke up this morning, unusually tired, had my Protein shake and laid back down after a couple of hours. When I woke up the second time, I felt weak and not like myself. i ended up checking my blood pressure and it was 88/59 which I have not had in years!! I did not drink my potassium last night, because I just couldn't stomach it. I don't know if that had anything to do with my blood pressure and how I feel right now..Anyone else had issues with that? I have a hard time getting all my protein and liquids in, but I work hard at it. Yesterday I increased my distance of walking and I did okay, but did not want to push it because I started feeling pressure in my abdominal area.I guess my weight is coming off slow and steady, which is fine with me. I'm still having a hard time knowing when I had enough, especially when drinking the shakes. I don't feel hungry at all, I drink my shakes because it's that time not because I feel hungry. I could probably go the whole day without feeling any hunger pangs. I don't know if that is normal.Would love to hear any advice, how any of your journeys are going, any problems since surgery anything at all. Can't have enough support Wishing everyone a wonderful and blessed day.

You can do this!!! You going back to the doctor and asking for help is the first step! I'm just starting out, but I know that I'll probably slip sometime down the road, but I have to keep my eye on the prize and remember all the sacrifices involved. Keep the faith, you'll be right back on track. Best of luck to you and God bless

When does it get easier?
mohara62 replied to hohmanf's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm in the same boat, had my surgery a week ago. I find myself wanting certain foods also, but know I can't have them! I don't want to tell my family they have to eat somewhere else, lol! I usually just smell what they're about to have and then have my shake or soup and I'm okay with it. I just look forward to the day when I get to taste different foods, that helps. My husband cooked a vegetable soup the other day and I took some of it and put it in the blender until it was liquified. I have that for lunch and so far so good. No problems! Wish you all the best on your journey. Hang in there, it can only get better
