Yup, the three of them. Initially thought it was only going to be the nurse anesthesiologist, because he was the one who came and spoke to me in the holding room. But when I got to the OR, the other two were there. I met the ananesthesiologist at my pre op work up the week before and he did tell me it would either be him or another doctor. But no, I had all three. They told me I was the star that day. I smiled and went to sleep. I've had trouble with an epidural before, and had to be given general. Just to sure to let them know all that has happened to you previously. I really believe they want to take great care of the patients. Try not to worry dearest.

Slow, slow, and slower! Pounds are wanting to stay!
finediva replied to kikicoates78's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I guess you can imagine how I felt when I lost ZERO pounds in October, at 2 1/2 months out. I embarrassed myself at my three month check up, by crying in my surgeon's office. Your body can only do what it can do. I'm a very slow loser, but I made peace with it. -
You know you lost weight when
finediva replied to Thomas CPA's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I don't think it's a vain thing at all. I believe we are just enjoying seeing the person emerging. At least I just enjoy seeing the slimmer me. It's been 26 years since I was this size. It's so emotional for me. I'm this confident person who feel pretty successful in my life, but I just couldn't conquer my weigh loss. I'm so happy I did this for myself. Not anymore else. I did it for me. -

Don't know what your stats are, but you seem to be doing very well. I'm coming up on my fifth month and I'm averaging about 10lbs a month. I'm just so very great full for every pound loss. I'm giving myself a whole year or longer to get to my goal. I just want to get there. Best. -
I had three, yes, three people putting me to sleep and making sure I stayed that way. The head anesthesiologist, the nurse anesthesiologist and an anesthesiologist intern. I guess they had it under control, because I stayed asleep.

With them setting up your appointments I can see how that could happen, but they should of made sure they were keeping you in network. I was simply given a long list of pre op test to complete and told to have them done and have results sent to the surgeon's office. On the list were recommended doctors. I used some and got some on my own. Glad it all worked out. Best.

You look good girl. When I entered the 100s I danced in my room. Yes, danced. Hadn't been there in 27 yrs. Keep up the great work!!

how long is the Gastric Sleeve surgery ?
finediva replied to boosh10's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
5 1/2 hours!! No, I didn't die and was brought back. I had lots of scar tissue from four previous surgeries. She had to remove all or I guess a lot before she could begin. So, as you can see every situation is different. -
Well what is covered under your policy? Did you go out of network? Before I accept any appointments for services I asked if my insurance is accepted, or usually I'm asked what my insurance is first by the person on the other end. If my insurance is not accepted I do not go there. I have a $15 copay for all covered services.

How long was your hospital stay?
finediva replied to Sexy Granni's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@Elode. Yup,I was in a private roon, with attentive staff. With my recliner and tablet, I was happy to stay another night! -
Peanut butter, can anyone recommend a good brand?
finediva replied to Homecie's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I say look for a natural one. You will see the oil floating on top. No added sugar and taste amazing. At least to me. I absolutely love peanut butter, but try to stay away fro it since surgery. Too many calories for me right now. But hopefully I can return during maintenance. -
How long was your hospital stay?
finediva replied to Sexy Granni's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I stayed one night, but my surgeon actually asked me if I wanted to stay or go home. I went hone because I had someone staying with my kid and didn't want to inconvenience them any longer than was necessary. I would of stayed a second night if I didn't have that situation. -
Congrats to you. I have to say my energy level is almost scary to me. I can simply go all day long! Enjoy the parties and go get yourself a cute, but maybe cheap, outfit. I know, not the easiest venture at our size.

Hair today, gone tomorrow
finediva replied to SherB's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
IMHO, it looks good, but hey, it's hair, it'll grow back. I confess, after reading your post, I went to my bathroom, locked the door and tried to contemplate cutting my hair. I didn't do it, but may once i reach goal. Maybe as part of a makeover. Thankfully, I haven't been losing any hair. Good job on that gorgeous donation. -

i would stay away from extentions. The extra tension on the hair. ....IMO -
@@Miss Mac. Wow, so you believe it did have something to do with the long stall. When did you give it up and how much did you lose after? I lost 4 big fat pounds on my two week pre op diet. I was using the bariatric advantage vanilla shakes. I couldn't stand them the minute I had my surgery. I wish now I had used unflavored protein powder in skim milk. But I used what my surgeon told me to. I have a huge bag of that stuff sitting in the cupboard.

Day 6 Post-op ...Gosh I hope today is better
finediva replied to tfarr's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You are 6 days. Be patient with yourself. My doctor only allowed me water and clear broth, for the first 10 days. I was only getting about 40 ozs of clear fluids in and it took me every waking hour. Of course follow your doctor's orders, but be patient with your progress and recovery. Best. -

@teshadb. I lost ZERO pounds in October. ZERO.

congrats!!!!

Yeah, that was probably the problem. I don't think a simple fork full would of caused you any issues.

What shocks you now that you were able to eat in a sitting?
finediva replied to JALUVIC's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@VSGAnn2014 food doesn't talk back, if you eat the things you love it delish and comforting, it's so readily available, 24 hrs a day, we get hungry like normal people, just about every social gathering involves some type of food, and the list goes on. What was wrong with me? I simply taught myself to eat large quanties of food. I also ate to comfort myself through a horrible marriage and losing my closest family members. We are, hopefully, all getting better. -
What's the deal with CAFFEINE ?!
finediva replied to bajagal101's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got all my caffeine from coffee. I was told to stop. Reason, the acid can cause ulcers. Also it can cause dehydration. That being said, a poster on here from across the pond stated doctors over there don't restrict caffeine and she was given regular coffee BEFORE leaving the hospital after the sleeve surgery. Go figure. I drink decaffeinated now, but it taste like......well, it does nothing for me, but I enjoy the comfort ofa hot cup of fake coffee in my hand.
