Hi Just a question, does any one know Why are we not allowed to have chewing gum or even diet fizzy drink. Cause I love my chewing gum and felt they took my hunger away ) I'm also in for my first fill in 5 days Really nervous

Hi Got my first fill yesterday( 4mm) I feel nothing at all, i can still eat everything, apart from the appitie a little less. I have a 10mm band, does any one else have the same size band and how much fill did you need before you felt the restriction Hope to hear from you ☺

Hi I also lost 14pounds in 8 days straight after surgery which was on the 20th June. But since then iv not list anymore.. So I think it's normal

Hi, it will come and go, take your pain killers can give you some comfort The best healer for gas pain is time. I had a horrible time for two weeks,just only now I feel much better. Try and walk as much as you can and just hang in there ) Good luck

Hi guys Feeling so much better, 90% of gas pain has gone.. Started to eat my soft food, which can sometimes trigger off gas pain again. But over all feeling good. I'm still a little tender around the port area and actually can feel it myself... Not very attractive Romana

Hi crystal76 Poor you, I thought I was having a bad time. Today I took my paracetamol half an hour before eating and the pain wasn't as bad. But I only ate a little. Keep me up to date, would be nice to hear your experience as we started our journey so close together. Good luck.. Hope we succeed Romana

Hi I had my op two weeks ago, started on my mushy intake today, but soon after eating I felt awful , wind pain and heart burn it was painful even breathing. Has anyone else discovered, when they eat the wind came back lol Or am I doing something wrong.. Scared to eat solids at the moment.. Romana

Poor you... I was much better for two days and then last night it was the worst for me too. Gas Pain travelling through my upper body. Try sleeping with a few pillows so your head is high... It helps me a lot Hope you feel better soon.. Keep me updated

Hi My name is romana, I also had my op at Dolan hospital, bromgrove on the 20th June Experience was good at the hospital, everyone was very helpfull. Overall I had very painful gas pains and only now getting a little comfortable. I'm hoping this is all worth it!! I have lost 6kilos in a week but can feel my hunger coming back. Booked in for my first fill on the 25th July.???? Nice to see you all on this. Hope we can learn from each other.. Good luck everyone Romana

Hi guys I Also had my op at the Dolan hospital, bromgrove on the 20th June My surgeon was dr smillie. The op went well, suffered a lot with gas pain even know, but hoping its all worth it. Nice to find this group hope we can share our experience together Romana

Hi Thank you for getting back to me. I do walk a lot, but these gas pains can be so evil Pain med doesn't seem to work to well. I'm just hoping one day I'll wake up and I'm wind free )

Hi I had my op on the 20th, I'm also suffering with gas pain, it can be so painful at times and nothing I do seems to sift it. A week today since my op and I have only been told to have gripe water or pepper mint tea for comfort but they are not working to well Help when will this gas leak lol

Hi my name is romana I had my surgery on the 20th June So on my liquid diet. I feel I have lost my appetite and not drinking enough, still in abit of pain and wind and heart burn doesn't seem to go away. Hoping it will get better I'm glad I found this forum, I'm sure we can learn from each other

Thank you bandista Can't get to sleep cause of the heart burn, soon as I get into bed I feel nauseous . Hope this phase passes soon

Hi I'm in the same boat as you, had my op on the 20th Sent home the next day.. I had wind pain and also where the port is. Have been given 6injections but have taken of my socks because I'm quite mobile in the house. I'm also in south London hoping this operation is a success.. At the moment suffering from severe heart burn.. Lets hope for the best ????
