Mbstas replied to Lani789's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
No butt or boobs here either! -
No anemia problems pre or post and down 110 pounds and freezing!

I also weigh in the morning every day. Keeps me accountable and I make better food choices.
-
I chew gum. No problems so far.

I am 9 months post op and lost very little hair. Biotin, protein, and the other remedies help but I think a lot of it is just random.

No health problems apart from obesity, is surgery right?
Mbstas replied to Amina's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I lost 50 pounds before my RNY surgery and was given the option of continuing to try to lose weight on my own or go ahead with the surgery. I decided to go ahead with the surgery to help me with portion control. I have since surgery lost 60 more pounds. I experienced no complications and am able to eat anything, just in much smaller amounts. Life is good! -
Mine too is gone. Pretty ironic since the booty is so in these days!

Help! Can't stand Protein Drinks
Mbstas replied to Elisha1015's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also use the bariatric foodie cookbook and love it. I too could not stand any of the protein shakes out there. The recipes are simple and the shakes and smoothies are tasty. I got mine through Amazon also. -
Why did you choose VGS instead of Bypass and any regrets.
Mbstas replied to klock's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Scstxrm, you stated that RNY complicates the colonoscopy procedure. How so? I had RNY in March and am due for a colonoscopy soon. I would like to know if any adjustments to the procedure would need to be made. -
Had the bypass in March. Am having homemade pizza tonight. One slice is all I will have and then I will be full but soooo good.

Need help from Diabetics post surgery
Mbstas replied to smiley922's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My PCP says no needs for meds unless my readings stay consistently above 150. I am 8 months post-op and as I continue to lose my readings continue to drop. Give it time and you will be fine. -

Why You Chose That Surgery?
Mbstas replied to RiskyGirl21's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I chose the RNY bypass because I was diabetic, had high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. I also had over 100 pounds to lose to get to a normal BMI. I am 8 months post-op and have lost 105 pounds with 5 more to go. No complications and I can eat everything I want in just much smaller amounts. I do try to eat healthy and exercise every day. Life is good. No regrets! -
41 years old and torn between sleeve and RNY... any advice?
Mbstas replied to Jelko7t3's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Ditto to all the above posts. No diabetic meds since surgery, no cholesterol meds, and bp meds reduced. Best of all, have lost 100 pounds with 10 more to go. RNY was a great choice! -
Had a bypass in March. I recovered well and can eat anything, in just much smaller amounts.
