    Im 6 weeks post op.. on soft foods. Dr. Says to be eating 3 small meals a day and 60-80 gr of protien a day.. i am forcing myself to eat once a day! No way can i get 3 meals in. I am never hungry, and when i make myself eat I feel blah. .. like god why am i eating this? Is it normal to not want to eat?

    Thanks ginerisgreat, i tried eating yogurt in the morning too, i can barely eat half. And def drink all my protien!

    Im not expecting anything within a few days of surgery, im 4 days post op and have gained 6 pounds, is that normal? Water weight maybe?

    Thanks everyone. Yeah i dont have any expectations of losing a lot within a few days of surgery, guess i didnt consider all the iv fluids.. jus got to give it time

    Surgery date is November 17th. . Started my 12 day liquid diet last Wednesday.. doing 4 protien shakes a day. And lots of other clear fluids... hasnt been to bad till tonight (4th night) im getting hunger pains.. and the shakes are alot less appealing! Still have 8 days to go! Trying to stay positive. .. and know that this is the right thing for me to do!

    Im on day 6 out of 12.. 4 shakes a day. And min of 64 oz of clear liquids. . Anyone else feel extremely thirsty? Sounds weird sense im drinking all liquids.

    I still have 3 months to go, and I have my visit with surgeon on 8/19. I feel like I have read everything over and over on which surgery to have. Im leaning towards the bypass, but I keep going back an forth to the sleeve.. how do you know which one to do??
