  1. Hi Virginiaann--

Was so glad to meet you today. All I have left is to meet my Doctor Tuesday (the day you have your surgery). I'll be saying some prayers for you. Will be in touch after my surgery Thursday. Good luck to all you other bandsters out there. Maybe one day we can all get together after we loose all this weight. I feel we all have something in common, no matter what led us to be banded. Keep in touch.

  2. This is not related to Lapband itself, but I am trying to get a ticker from tickerfactory .com. I have put in all the information, but when it comes to copy and pasting I can't seem to get it. Where do I go on the Lapband sight to do this, and which of the 3 addresses do I use. Thanks---

    Hi there!!

I am going to be banded on July 17, 2008 by Dr. Thomas from Surgical Specialist. I live in Slidell, La. Waited a long time for this to happen. Started the process in late Sept. 2007. Anybody out there from Slidell??

  4. Hi there!!!

I have been reading about everyone. The sixties group is great. I was wondering if I was the only one in my sixties going for Lapband. I am 62 and also a grandmother. My five grandkids ages are 17-15-4-2-1. They are my pride and joy.

I have had back surgery and one knee replaced, with the other one needing replacement. I also had blood clot go to my lung, which complicated my requirements for Lapband Surgery. All said and done though I am scheduled for surgery on July 17th. It took approx 10 months to finally get a date, but I'm finally there. Will be posting as events occur. Best of luck to all, you will all be in my prayers.

  5. Hi there!!

I just got approval. Started this procedure in Sept. 2007. My surgery date is July 17, 2008. Can't wait. It's been a long haul, but I feel it will be worth it after hearing from all the bansters who have gone through this. Good luck to you. Let me know when your dat is. Keep in touch.

  6. I feel like I'm finally on my way. I was told to get the surgery approvals from my heart doctor and general physician and to start the Optifast diet. How long was it after this you guys had your surgery? Am I getting all excited for nothing or am I really on my way? I have been reading the posts that you have made. I feel I know pretty much what is going to go on, but I know I'll probably have a million questions when I am going through it. It makes me feel better knowing I am not by myself. Thanks for all the past help and thanks in advance for the future help---Pat:rolleyes:

  7. I am just getting started. I have letters from my doctors stating medical reasons for my getting the surgery, and I have a date with a psycholist in two weeks. Can anyone tell me how long it took their insurance to decide if they would pay for the procedure, and how long after that you had to wait for the surgery? Also what do you have to do for Pre-Ops?

I have been a yo yo dietier all my adult life. If any of you are around my age (61) I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks in advance for the info--Pat
