I knew I shouldn't have said anything!

Yes.I only told my immediate family and my supervisor. We work for a large hospital so a patient's privacy is super important.and against the law to share.so I knew that if anyone else at work found out.they would be a legal issue. The day I was approved I called my older sister and the first words out of her mouth were, "oh you're cheating"---- that kinda set mr up to receive more negative feedback..and I didn't want that.I wish I could tell everyone I know because iam so excited with my journey to.date, but I can't...so it is what it is.When they ask me how I've lost weight. I tell them the truth, I cut out alot of food types amd alchohol in my diet.no more fast food 4 dayd a week.and I am more active.and I eat alot less..all are true.so iam so happy to have found.this site.it is so helpful to me to.have an outlet to discuss this big.life changing part of my life.HW-252 start weight-211 SW-190 CW-119 surgery date 7-3-13. :-) -
Whats your "full" signal?
april2342 replied to knitlil09's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get hiccups when I eat too fast.It signals me to stop, slow down, put the baby spoon down and see how I feel in a few minutes.I am 1 yr out and really, if im being mindful while im eating,I dont have to eat alot to be content. But if I dont stop,I get what I call "Thanksgiving stuffed"..uugghh..not good. -

My first 2 days were in the hospital.hooked up to iv and hated having to get up out of bed to pee.it hurt and I could hardly hold.it just to even walk a few feet.I think I even cried out of frustration..but as I got home,my.pain was tolerable but I kept telling myself its gonna better every day post surgery.I was weak for a few days, and I had one incesion that hurt more than the rest.My doctor was kind enough to give me not only 2 weeks off post off,but fot it extended 2 more weeks.I was mentally and physically readt for work at that point.so you see everyone is different.but I tell you this..its all worth it..it has changed my.life and iam thankful for it!Best wishes to you on your journey!! -

Does anyone's chest feel weird?
april2342 replied to WhoKnows's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had chest pain so bad that I felt like I couldn't breathe.it panicked me and was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital. My heart was fine.and the pain.just went away on its own- Ihad special test done.and my surgeon said a little part of.the remaining stomach near the lower intestined had slightly curled up.so they went in to look at my.pouch with a camera and stuck a balloon in the pasage way to open it up a little.it seems to have worked. I haven't had the feeling again and its been over 1 month.so I would encourage you to mention it to your doctor..well wishes to you. -
