Hello my name is Liz and I had Lap band surgery on November 26 2013! Needless to say I missed thanksgiving!!!!!! But I had Christmas and by then I was down a couple of pounds. I went into surgery at 248lbs and wearing a size 18 in pants. Now I am at 200lbs and fit in a size 14 and at times a 12!!! I am very happy with my decision to go for this surgery. I tried for many years to lose weight only to gain it all back. My lowest point was in 2010 when I became unemplyed. I got the flu went to the doctor and the scale said 210 lbs. As if that wasnt enough I gained even more and decided to go for my initial lap band appt. My doctor was Abkins from Advanced laproscopic surgeons in Florham park. I couldnt ask for a better doctor or staff!!!!!! They answered every question I had and explained all the phases of the diet and surgery. I am on my way down but life is looking up!
