Hi everyone Have not been on very much lately. Everything is going great. Had my first fill on June 4th. Don't fill much restriction. Have had a few problems with eating to fast and getting stuck because I forgot I was banded and went back to old eating habits. Weight loss pretty slow. Most of the weight loss was during the liquid stages. Go back for a second fill July 16th. Good luck to everyone.

Hi Everyone, I made it thru the surgery and everthing went great. It has been a week since my surgery and I am feeling really good. I plan on returning to work on Monday. I am so glad I did this. Looking forward to a great summer.

Good Luck to all of you. I am getting excited and nervous. My friend had her surgery Thursday and she is doing great. The only thing she suggested was to continue to take the pain medicine even if you felt like you didn't need it. Looking foward to hearing from you all.

Hi Tess I am also from Ohio (Akron area). I have been visiting this site also for about a year. I am scheduled for surgery on May 1. My process has gone fast. It only took about a week for me to get approved. I learned a lot by visiting this site so when I went to my first consult with the surgeon, I was well prepared and knew what to expect. With all that being said, I am still very nervous about the surgery. I finally realized that it is because we are put thru so much testing and given so much more information then for any other surgery. Which is a good thing.

Hi Everyone I was worried about getting thur the weekend, but I did pretty good. I did eat one baked chicken wing on Sunday. Having a hard time getting down the 64ozs of water. I weighed myself this morning and I am down 7lbs. Good luck on your surgery April 30th.

HI Forestcats, Sorry I have not responded to this post. I am new at this and I didn't know how to fine my orginal post. I am from Akron, OH and having the surgery done by Dr. Dan on May 1. I am very nervous and excited at the same time. I am now on day 3 of my Optifast diet and have lost 4lbs so far. A little nervous about the weekend because that is when I tend to eat more.

Sorry It took so long for me to reply. I am on day three and so far so good. I am on the Optifast shakes. I am also allowed jello and popcicles. I did cheat last night. I have a 16 yr old daughter that I still have to cook for, so I did eat a very small piece of baked chicken. I weighed myself this morning and I have already lost 4lbs. I'm a little worried about the weekend. That is when I tend to eat more compared to the weekdays.

Hello Everyone I started my journey in Sept of 2007. I will be banded on May 1. I am really nervous. I start my liquid diet on April 16th. Not looking forward to that. Good luck to all of us.

Hi I'm Kim. Just had my first visit with surgeon Wednesday. Hoping the process goes fast. BMI is 38 with no other problems. I am 100lbs overweight. Might have a problem getting approved by insurance. Only option for quick approval is to gain 8lbs.
