Hello everyone, I am joining this site in an effort to create a support system for my upcoming procedure in approximately six months. I have several questions and want to learn as much as possible. My BMI is too high for a sleeve, so the surgeon is suggesting a gastric bypass. My doctor does not have a support group attached to his practice so this is why I am trying to build one online. I am an older woman who loves life and plans to be here for a long time, thanks for listening!

Still here on this looog, emotionally DIFFICULT journey, fighting and WINNING!  :-)          I have not heard one person with a large amount of weight to lose say that creating this "NEW NORMAL" is/was easy.  My life long commitment to myself is one of acceptance, courage, development, and peace.  If I can visit these places DAILY, I will never, ever live in that abused, neglected, painful body again!
