Popcorn is a treat for me. Sometimes I air pop it and others I have the skinny girl popcorn. 100 calories for 4 cups, which I cannot eat all of it.

Passed out cold last night.
Thinkingthinner1109 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I have been dizzy for a while now, usually I can just hold on to something to steady myself. I am within 1 pound of my ULTIMATE goal of 149 i am 5'9" tall, so although that may sound like it's still a lot, I am really tall. So anyway I ahve talked to both my PCP and surgeon regarding this last week. They adjusted my Wellbutrin and Xanax thinking I may have been getting too much. All of my labs are good except my thyroid is low. I take all my vitamins and get all my protein in a day. And I get about 800 calories which I am trying to increase by a little so I can begin leveling off. Anyone else ever have this issue? I am starting to get worried. Last night when I got up to go to the bathroom, I didn't even feel dizzy. My husband heard me fall and say oww. When he talked to me must have been when I woke up. I asked him where I was when he found me he said I was laying in the floor. I don't remember a THING. It is really scary. -
How did you determine your "goal weight"?
Thinkingthinner1109 replied to hisandhersleeves's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I set several goals. Then when I reached that decided if I wanted to go on. I am 5'9 my first goal was 170' then it went to 160 now it is 149 and I currently weigh 150.4. So I am 1.4 pounds to my ULTIMATE goal. I found it easier and more rewarding to set several smaller goals and re evaluate at each goal. My frame will never hold anything lower than 149. -

Thank you. I went to the doctor today. And yes after eating my blood sugar was 79. Lol she showed me and I said oh that's good she said NOOO it's not. She is pretty sure my blood sugar is dropping. She gave me some suggestions and also told me to get a blood pressure monitor to check that. So I will be very careful to eat more complex carbohydrates. She told me to eat something just before I go to bed. And I will have to check into one of those blood sugar monitors. Hope I can find one for 20 bucks. I really think I need to be checking on it frequently. -
I was one of the lucky ones. I could drink normally after about two weeks. Some people have to sip a lot longer. I almost six months out and haven't had any issues drinking or eating. I eat healthy and I made goal at about 5 months.

Awww that is my grand puppy. I love him. He is the BEST dog ever. He loves me and I spoil him rotten. Hahaha. Then send him home. He cries when i visit and have to leave. When I go there my daughter tells him Grandma is coming and he will wait by the door until I get there. -

STALLS
Thinkingthinner1109 replied to Packerfan61964's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I count my blessings. Never had a stall weighed twice a week so if I stalled for a day or two I wouldn't have known it. 6 months post op. When I asked my surgeon early on about the "stalls" I see people talk about on here, it said not everyone necessarily has stalls. -
How old are/were you?

Well I think I am finally at my goal. It's been 5 1/2 months since my surgery. It's been wonderful! With the exception of the first two weeks post op when I thought I was going to die. Today just for the fun of it I went and tried on clothes at the store. I used to hate to shop. Now when I look at something on the hanger I think that will never fit me. I try it on and it does. I love my sleeve. One of the best decisions of my life.

Thinkingthinner1109 replied to fit4life123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am almost 6 months post op. No chews at all can't stand them. I use the petite calcium citrate. They are still big but I can do it! I have to because anything chewable makes me throw up. -
Any research on changing relationships?
Thinkingthinner1109 replied to mercy96's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I do admit that once in a while it does hurt my feelings (for about 30 seconds, lol). But I am over it, I am happy and to me that is all that matters. I do not EVER brag or do the "look at me" thing. Actually I still wear the same scrubs as I did when I was overweight. I have bought new pants but the shirt is hugely baggy. Our employer buys our uniforms so I will be getting new ones soon I hope. I am tired of wearing the big old baggy ones. It makes me look frumpy. I cannot buy my own tops because they have to be a certain color and have embroidery on them. I asked my employer six months ago if I could pay for my own and put in my order to her 6 months ago but she never did order them for me. -
Kidney stone after 8 wks post op
Thinkingthinner1109 replied to Shannon Piper's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is one of my biggest fears. I work for the only urologist around so if I get an obstructing stone, it's one of my own docs that will be called. How embarrassing! -
How often do you poop? Don't be shy!
Thinkingthinner1109 replied to Bronco0605's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok now I am I wondering if I am ok. I only go once a week AT BEST. Sometimes every week and half. I had to start keeping track on my calendar because I cannot remember the last time I went. I take stool softeners but not regularly. I didn't realize until after reading this post that I was not normally going. What pro biotic is everyone taking? I really don't know what to do. Sometimes my stomach will ache like I have to go but nothing. -
Any research on changing relationships?

Wow! This thread is soooooo true! I work in a place filled with women. They had "dieting" competitions where they would weigh in every Monday. I was probably the heaviest in the office and I would have NEVER participated in that one.....because it was actually a contest to see who didn't gain the most. It was kind of funny. I then chose to forego WLS and I did tell them. Yes I know BIG MISTAKE there was all kinds of talk. Some really insulting. When people would ask how much I lost I would tell them....I am not telling you because I have heard some pretty rude comments. That would usually shut them up. Last week someone actually asked how much I weigh. I told them I am not going to tell you that. She then said well how much did you lose? I said I am not telling you that either. I have had so many compliments outside of work. However inside work there are only two women that have give pm me compliments. I truly believe it's jealousy. I have one co worker that brags about going to fitness class and then eats everything under the sun. I don't say anything at all. She says look how lose my clothes are. (They are not loose). I am friends with them on facebook, again I know big mistake. Well today is my anniversary. I dug out my wedding dress and posted a picture on FB. THEN that same co worker posts a random.... SMH. LOL. I pretty much know what that means. Sorry for the rant but yes working relationships change, drastically! Here is the pic that started the crap. What was really cool was that my daughter posted that the dress looked big on me, and actually it is too big for me, I had to pin it up. -

Genepro Users-check this out.
Thinkingthinner1109 replied to Stevehud's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I have used Genepro along with other protein powders since my surgery. I had my labs drawn at 6 months and my protein was excellent! I only get about 20 proteins with food since I cannot eat enough to get in 80 grams of protein. My way of thinking is if it wasn't working my protein levels would have been way low because I count it toward my daily protein intake. And I have had no hair loss or any other side effects. So for the me it WORKS! And I will continue the use of Genepro. And no I don't don't work for them nor am I paid by them. Just my experience. -

Thinkingthinner1109 replied to paula4422's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had a huge knot at one of my incision sits too. I had my surgeon check it because I was thinking it was a hernia. I was also in a lot of pain. Turns out it was fluid and disapated over a few weeks. Not sure if it's the same thing or not. Best to see a doc. Good luck! -

Goal!
Thinkingthinner1109 replied to Thinkingthinner1109's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am working on the maintenance portion now. Talked to my NUT last week. I am a bit freaked out about not seeing the scale move down. It has been a big part of my life, I don't want to fail. I have never had a stall in this entire process. A steady moving down on the scale. So I don't know what it is like to not lose when I get on the scale. I am still losing about .2 pounds a day. I know I need to eat more. I no longer eat fat free cheese. I am trying to eat more like a normal person. What are your maintenance plans?
