    Allergic reaction??

I had a very itchy, horrible rash all over my belly and sides 1 week post op. I was given Benadryl, 50mg, which helped and knocked me out. I also used a lotion called Sarna to help with the itch. My doctor could not tell me why I had the rash. The rash lasted over a week, in fact I still have signs of it 3 weeks later, but the itch lasted only a few horrible days.
  5. I've been wearing a sports bra - pushed up away from my incision sites. I was also wondering what I will do Monday when I return to work, because the sports bra makes me look like I have a unibreast. I was banded Saturday 02/23. Good luck!

    Being Banded on 03/11

Welcome. We are in the same boat. I am to be banded ina few days. Nervous? Yes. I have a friend who was banded less tan a weekago. She is doing great. A lillte sore, which is to be expected. She is having a hard time with the Clear liquids restriction from her doctor. What part of Utah are you from? I am in CA.
  7. :crying:I was to be banded tomorrow, I was oo excited and anxious at the same time, started off my day with fluids only. I got the call today my surgeon is ill. I know it can not be helped, but this is the second time it was rescheduled. The first time was 3 weeks before the surgery. This time I was really geared up! Of course I started eating right away. I just need encouragement on what to eat now that I don't have a new surgery date yet. I certainly don't want to continue to gain weight.
  8. I will need to go back to work 5 days later, so a co-worker can have the same sx. I know recovery is very induvidualized, but I was wondering when most people go back to work. All advise is appreciated, since I am getting anxious now.
  9. In the appointments I've been to so far, it seems people, including doctors are agianst lapband. They talk gastric bypass mostly. This has happened at the required seminar and nutrition classes I've taken. I was even told that some lapband patients even end up having a gastric bypass later because of all the complications. I felt I researched this a lot but now I am having doubts. I do not want a bypass. Does anyone have suggestions on how to handle future appointments?
