No support eather...feel sometimes I am struggling...

I am Littleton...need a support group

I am a year out now...258 now 150..I am not saying it's going to be easey but I had very little pain after surgery though I was very nauseous I could not keep anything down in the hospital so I had to spend an extra night that I didn't want!! It was very hard to drink water ...got so full!! And trying to balance food and water intake was impossible!! I think it was around 6 weeks before I felt I had a handle on it...but I never ever regretted my decision ...it's the best thing I ever did for myself...don't be nervous just remember the rules ...no drinking with eating get your protein in ..I love premier protein drinks From Costco!! I still have 1 a day ...follow your dr diet .liquid then soft food etc. etc. please feel free to ask any questions I am a open book

I feel very lucky, maybe they changed the criteria after my surgery but like I said it was 3 months from beginning to end had surgery July 17 hang in there everyone!! This journey is so worth it!!

Yes the nausea is really bad omg I remember that now!! But it does go away I did have terrible heartburn every night it wake me up if I didn't take a heartburn pill before bed

Yes like I said 6 weeks class we had to weigh in every class but nobody recoded or looked we weigh our selfs then recorded it, I had two psych evaluation But I think it was a 10 20 mins conversation on both visits saw nutritionist 1 visit ..started classes April 2014 had surgery July 2014 very easey ..oh had blood work but no stool samples and what is a body analysts? So no all Kaiser is the same . I met with the surgeon only to make final decision on what surgery I decided on ..bypass or sleeve

I was very tired for about two weeks then got better make sure your getting you protein and water, how soon can you start your multi vitamins? That helps ! Once your on soft foods it's gets a lot better

Very sad there is no need for 24 classes 6 was plenty for us,I did have to have a psych appointment one at the beginning and one ate the end, the phych office was right across the street from the best French pastry shop in Denver!!! I told the dr he needed to move cause it's like having an aa meeting next to the liquor store!!! Then we had blood work and ekg but if I remember right that was it ...my advice is do everything they tell you to do it is so worth it!!

Our classes where every Wednesday for 5 weeks on the six week was our talk about surgery before the six weeks were up we had all had our pre up with our surgeon or at least an appointment in place some of us at the end of the six week had there surgery dates in place if I remember correctly one was even going in the next week . Don't worry I lost 20 lbs on the liver shrinking diet

I was lucky only had to finish classes then was. Scheduled For surgery but I had it in summer and my surgeon took time off for vacation so it was a bit of a wait

I never had to lose a lb before surgery!! I am shocked there asking you to do that ! It's a lot of pressure, how are you doing with that? Yes I had my surgery I was very scared thought I'd wake up in pain ect ect but I did though I was sick to my stomach and could not get water down but I jump right out of bed and started walking cause I wanted to get home asap I ended up two night in the hospital not too bad but I can't sleep in hospital and the bed was too small I was a big girl!! The 1 st 2 weeks was difficult cause it was clear liquid but after that it just became a habit. Dont be surprise if you can't eat more then 100 cals a day it's ok at this point you should be getting as much water as possible you don't want to go back in to hospital with dehydration!!

By 5 weeks I was only at around 400 I am 9 months out and only now hitting 1000 slow and steady wins this race

I was told 2 weeks and only walking then when I feel strong I can start swimming

The six week class covered nutrition and what to exspect and what we need to do it was very good

My surgery date is July 17 I am feaking out!!! I feel jam not prepared and feel I am forgetting everything I learned in my 6 week class !! Oh and I have a fear of protein drinks!!! Help!!!!
