Hey all, It's been a really long time so I thought I would drop a line and give you all an update. I was sleeved on 4.9.12. My starting weight was 178kg. The sleeve didn't go well, I ended up with a leak and multiple surgeries, a three month hospital admission and an 8month at home recovery later and I was finally back on track. Since then my life has changed immeasurably! I am so much healthier and fitter than I ever have been!! I now exercise daily - run, yoga, tennis and ballet and I even love it now! My weight has stabilised (now stick around 68kg). I recently got married and am so excited to get "fat" legitimately with kid lets For anyone who is honking about doing this, or is still in that tough early "holy crap what the eff was I thinking?" Stage, there is light at the end of the tunnel!! Things get better, you'll work hard to change your relationship with food and exercise and you will gain control over food you never previously had. I have a bit of loose skin on my upper arms and lower belly but two years out I notice that it's still improving. I won't ever have a flat belly unless I have surgery but honestly, Spanx are amazing and I really hate the idea of more surgery

Hi guys- it has been ages since I posted or even logged in. Life kind of got in the way I guess!! My surgery was September 2012. My highest weight was 175kg. My current weight is 72kg. I am 5'10. I am feeling great, have an amazing new job and moved to Queensland (Toowoomba). I am still trying to work out the food and exercise balance but I keep plugging away. I just started with an exercise physiologist to help me lose the last few kg (5-7 kg loss would be good) but to improve my general fitness. Last year I went to Fiji - would never have done that before!!! I am definitely getting out there a lot more, am dating (God what a mine field huh!?!) and generally being more active.
