Oh lord thank you. Im finally trying to reel it in. I know its a mind thing. Im now at the point where nothing is even good to me anymore. So I think this week I will be able to tame those feelings of "eat it now because you won't be able to later". I thought I was the only one who felt like that. Luckily Im not gaining. So ready to get started. My pre op will be 5 days clear liquids with the last 2 days cleaning my guts for surgery. My center of excellence is having a bariatrics fashion show Monday night. Some of the ones who have already had surgery will be modeling....Im excited to be attending it to see what I will look like next year!!! Psych eval on Thursday so Im moving right along. Thanks!!!

Im hoping to have RNY before the end year. I've finished my weight loss trial and going thru all the other requireents for surgery. But now that I know I've made up my mind and Im doing it, why do I feel like I need to eat everything because I will never be able to eat it again? Did anyone else feel this way or are they going thru this now? Some days I do well and others I feel like its the last supper. Please advise. Thanks

Did you have the blood test done first? That's my worse fear that they will find an ulcer that I never knew I had. I have no symptoms but tested positive. I dont want anything to prolong my surgery. Good for you it didn't.

Was the medicine expensive? With my ins it is $189 and my ins is really good with scripts. Pharmacist is calling doc to see if they can get something different. OMG

What part? Im near Pensacola. Im so glad my mom has been supportive. She can tend to drive one crazy too but so far so good on this subject. She's been petite her whole life.

Did the upper endoscopy hurt? Never had one before

My surgeon does upper emdoscopy on all his patients. This positive came from my initial blood draw. Nurse said not to worry so I guess I won't for now. I just don't want anything to slow down me getting approved and a surgery date. I hope I can take meds and keep it moving. That is gross....omg. that's enough to make us never want to eat out again. Lol

Thanks Pik. It made me nervous. I pray its nothing serious. Will take the meds for 10 days and then what? Will they draw blood again? The only thing I have left to do is the upper endoscopy. Im sure now that they won't schedule it until i finish the ten days of meds. Hoping I can stay on track for October.

Thanks so much for the suoport. Its so good to know its just not ME feeling like..."eat it because you will never taste it again". This week Im really trying to control what I eat and be conscious of it. So far I've enjoyed all the protein shakes I've tried. Maybe because I've been using them so long (I lost weight on HCG (if I can eat 500 for 6 months I KNOW I can handle this lol) but gained it all back when I went thru my divorce). Ive done EAS carb control shakes but that's not enough protein for this. I like premier protein but only the chocolate. Now I've gotten the powder 100% whey protein vanilla by Body Fortress at Wal-Mart. Its really good to me; plus one scoop has 60g of protein. I mix with 8oz of Almond milk unsweetened. I add a tsp of truvia and it tastes like a milkshake. I shake it in my blender bottle with crushed ice. I may try the chocolate too.

Elpasovet, Sounds like we may be on the same schedule. Ive had my first surgeon visit. Today is my first Nut visit. Psych eval next Thursday with 2nd Nut visit to follow. Im only waiting to have the upper endoscopy sceduled then it all goes to insurance. Lets keep in touch. Our surgery dates may be close.

Thanks guys. Im trying so hard. I think part of it is that I had to go on a round of prednisone for my sciatic nerve and we all know it makes you hungry; so I know ive gained a few lbs. They didn't tell me I couldnt gain. Oh well...my last weigh in is Friday so maybe they will take all that into consideration... I've started trying to drink protein shakes for breakfast and lunch. I pray I get myself together fast!!!! Thanks again.

I hope to be in October as well. Everything should be done by September 13. Then submitted to ins. So Im praying for October.

Appointment went well. Im on the fast track. Talked to the team. Got blood work, ekg, urinalysis and chest x rays all done today. Nutrition appt on Tuesday and Sep 13. Psych eval appt aug 21 @6pm. They will call me for my upper gi appt next week. Then Im all done. Submit to ins then surgery date. I will more than likely get it done in October. At least I hope so. Im sure you will do well with the band. Im not scared or nervous. Just ready!!!

I think that's how I will be...just drink the shake. Lol. I know that won't be good but seems to make sense to me. Not sure why.
