Any RNYs that have BCBS Federal in Florida and used Dr. Jeffrey Lord at Sacred Heart in Pensacola? Just had a few ins questions. Thanks

I got approved in 1 week. Doc didn't submit til 25 Sept. Bcbs federal standard....now I'm waiting for date but according to ins company it wont be til Dec 3rd. That's my auth effective date.

I just called the ins company and they told me that my authorization is effective for Dec 3rd. I asked what that meant and she said the doctor has to give them a date the auth is for and they gave dec 3rd. So I guess that when my surgery is??? She says they have one year from the date of auth to actually use it. Dag....Dec???? That's 2 more months. Omg. Glad Im approved but feeling disappointed that it wont be November. FYI...I have BCBS Federal Standard Option. It took 1 week for approval.

Jenn Cox....noooo! Monday will be 2 weeks. Everything completed and submitted. Im actually out of town for work this week. Im trying not to bug my doc office or ins company. Im patiently waiting. Was doing well eating right until I had to live in hotel this week. Will get back on track when I get home. Im trying to keep calm. Lol

Yes. You have to uninstall the app and reinstall it. They have a new and improved app but its the same. Yeah...stupid i know. I had to do it to make it work

Endoscopy done! That was some good sleep! Passed psych eval.. check! I think that's it. Ready for insurance approval and surgery date. Lets go!!!

Im sure the last supper syndrome will hit me again by the time I get my surgery date. Lol.

I don't think it has hit me yet. Maybe when I get insurance approval and a definite surgery date I will be more focused. Im not worried about surgery either. I've been doing the protein shakes as breakfast and trying to stay away from fast food. My mom found my baby plate and spoon. Im excited to use it again post op. I will eventually start practicing for the real deal. I did join the ymca and start swimming again. Im sure we will get there together...come on November!!!!

I posted this same thing when I decided to have surgery. I felt like I wanted to eat everything. It lasted a few weeks but now Im so over food...fast food.. my weakness. Surgery probably in November so Im sure I will go thru that phase again.

As Im getting closer, guys give me your best words of wisdom. What was the hardest part AFTER surgery?

Nurse called today. She is working on my chart. She had everything she needs to submit to the insurance company except my last nutrition appt. After the appt on Sept 13. She will submit to insurance and she says with my insurance they usual approve it within one day. That made me feel better! Upward and onward....or is that downward?

I met this girl on a weight loss forum from California. We did HCG together and became good friends but never met.... its been almost 3 yrs now. Well she died this morning. Blood clot in both lungs. I talked to her last night and she didn't feel well. Never imagined I would wake up to RIP postings on Facebook this morning. We were always trying to lose weight together. Needless to say I got the motivation I needed. I've gotta do it now for my friend Renee! I said this to say...we meet people on forums all the time and become close. Let's not take our relationships and bonds on this forum lightly or for granted. We are all in this struggle together. Wanted to say... your comments and support are greatly appreciated. I love each and every one of you as we continue on our journey toward our goal of a healthier lifestyle!
