I had surgery on 8/19. The pain in my shoulder hurts so bad. I was told walk walk and use a heating pad. The heating pad really helps.

My date is Aug 19th. Liquid diet is not easy but I am excited because it means we almost there!

Kristigo, I think it's only a formality insurances just require jumping through so many hoops it'll be okay I'm sure

18 days until surgery. I finally got my thyroid level to normal. I am so excited for all of us!

if you have cancer or something it's okay to go ahead and take whatever measures you need to do in order to survive so I don't understand why most people don't understand that carrying all this extra weight is almost the same category as far as preventing you from enjoying and doing things you want to do. I feel so incapacitated by this weight and I struggle just to do basic things so I am not going to be ashamed to take whatever measures I need to do in order to change and enjoy my life and to be healthy. So my coworkers are kind of puzzled and they are talking behind my back like she's already losing weight on our own why is this necessary. I'm not going to hide anything and I'm not going to be ashamed of saving my life. I totally agree with you dreamgirl.

My surgery is on August 19 and I wished I had not told anyone at work. They are talking about me wondering why I would do something so drastic. I work in a hospital business dept...a few other people in other depts had it done. I keep hearing comments that such in such lost 85 lbs in 2 months how they can't swallow and it's hard for them eat anything. Do you really want to suffer that way!

Hello everyone wanted to say I'm happy for all of us . My original date was on July 1 but I had a problem with my thyroid so it was canceled or delayed and until August 19 and that's only if my thyroid level test ok on July 28th. Boy talking about anxiety and being anxious.

I'm really nervous and I just need to talk. my surgery date is scheduled for August 19. I have wanted this so long and finally it's getting here but I'm nervous and the reason that I'm nervous .I've had so many abdominal surgeries... I have a lot of scar tissue. My surgeon is already told me he is not going to keep me under so long that it puts me in danger. I want to stay positive and excited...but it's so difficult because I won't know until I wake up from the surgery....I want to be like all of you guys posting my pic and sharing.

Originally my surgery was to be July 1 but my thyroid went crazy so it's been rescheduled to August 19 and I can't wait. I'm nervous about it because I don't take a blood test again until July 28 and I hope that it's at the correct level by then. I can't begin to tell you how it felt to be so close and then have to be turned away.
