  1. I was banded in 2008 @ 280 lbs, had a revision for a slip in 2009. Got down to 160 with band (the after shot shown). Complications led to a LP to sleeve revision (my weight was yoyo-ing all over the place for a year, gained about 25 lbs) Had a revision to the sleeve in Nov of 2014. My Before and After are all Band Pics.

    Looking for a surgery buddy

Hi. I'm a revision as well (11/6/14). The pain was more significant than post lapbamd for sure but the surgery was much more invasive as well. I will tell that it does get much better around week 4. My weight loss seemed slow in the beginning as well but I seemed to be more swollen after this surgery and because of the pain the first few weeks there wasn't a ton of exercise going on for me. I honestly thought something was wrong. I felt pressure and a pulling sensation that was quite annoying the first few weeks. I am just a little over 2 months post op and am down almost 30lbs (I need to update my weight ticker). We have to get the exercise on ladies...it really does help, at least for me it does make all the difference in losing a fwe ounces a week to losing a few pounds.

    Does running get easier!?

Running is definitely hard in the beginning but it does gets easier the more consistent you are with your runs. I have never enjoyed running on a treadmill and will only do so if I have to run late at night or so early in the morning that it is unsafe for me to do outdside alone. Like you I had visions of being a runner with my "running friends" and had aspirations to run a 5k. My running friends had a different plan for me and my first run happened to be a 1/2 marathon. As intimidating as it sounded, once I wrapped my head around the fact that I wasn't trying to run to win, simply to finish at and at MY OWN pace, not my friends pace or the pace of the random runner in front of me it changed everything. I am proud to say that I trained for 5 months and in December I completed my first 1/2 marathon. It was quite an achievement and one that I will always be proud of. As for "my thunder thighs, I will tell you that the more I run the smaller my boobs seem to get...lol, and my lower half doesn't look to shabby. So if you want to run...RUN GIRL!!! And yes, good shoes, inserts and for me running socks (may sound silly down to the sock) make all the difference int h e world...good luck!
  4. I had all the liquid removed from my band and had the removal and revision done in the same surgical procedure 4 weeks later. All went off with out a hitch and I am down 25 lbs in the last 6 weeks. Im very happy with my decision. Good luck.

Hard for me to look at, Top weight 280

From the album: Lap Band Revision to Sleeve Before and After

This was 2 month after the birth of my second child. But I cant blame any of my weight gain on her. I was heavy when i got pregnant (275) and was told my OBGYN told me NOT TO GAIN ANY weight. She scared me so bad about developing gestational diabetes that I walked everyday, cut all my liquid calories and delivered my daughter at 270. But I still managed to gain another 10 lbs the year following her birth.

    Still banded lowest weith 163

From the album: Lap Band Revision to Sleeve Before and After

This was at my lowest while still banded. This weight was near impossible for me to maintain as my restriction with the band was causing me a lot of issues and my esophagus had began to expand...blah blah blah. I gained a significant amount of weight following this picture and finally got approval for the revision. back on tract on on my way to this weight and hopefully a little bit smaller.

I had band to sleeve revision on November 6 and the difference between the 2 is just mind blowing to me. THIS level of restriction is what I always was looking for in my band but NEVER had. I was 205 on the day of surgery and as of today am down to 181. I am more than happy with my decision and my results
