I am new to the banded life and looking for MFP friends/followers. My name is pippster82 on there.

So, yesterday was my 3 week post-op appt. I am down 25 lbs. I believe that my doctors records are more accurate then mine but it sure does not feel like I have lost anything. I was given a excellent bill of health from my dr's office. Was also told that I am doing so good on my own they are going to wait another 4 weeks before we do a fill. I am not sure if that is too long or not. I guess if I start snacking more that will be a good indicator. I have been journaling all my food, which is great. Now I need to work on recognizing the signs. In time I am sure I will get it.

Hola...I was banded on the 10th. I too had the crazy white coating in my mouth after surgery for about 8 days. When I first noticed it I researched and thought it might be due to Vitamin deficiency?? since I was eating so little at first. I am not sure if that was really the case or not but I started taking Vitamins right away. Regardless, rest assured that at least it has happened to one other person and it does go away....tootles.

I am 12 days post-op and in the same boat but I do not get mushies until Friday. I have been counting down the days. Unless I stay busy throughout the day I am pretty hungry. 3 days until scrambled eggs....Woot Woot!!!!

I have my surgery on July 10th...I have 2 weeks preop diet but it is 2 shakes and 1 small meal a day. Everyone is right it is much easier during the work week. Today is particularly hard but I am holding on.

@Aliciafl2014..I definitely plan on posting and using the boards to gain strength and support. Let's get this party started everyone.

Hi all....July 10th here. Just anxiously awaiting that day. It s right around the corner now but seemed so far away just last month. Getting excited and nervous.
