Britt you and I have similar surgery dates and statistics. I'm going to watch you and see how our journeys compare. My weight shot up a LOT for a couple if days but then dropped back down then stalled at 227 for 2 weeks. It finally went down but stopped again. Height 5'7" HW 247 CW 222 SD 6/4/14 That is me at 247. A mistress of disguise! LOL! -

June 2014 Sleevers Check In!

Oh I know! (I think). Doc told me everything in there was swelled up really badly. When the swelling goes down the pouch gets roomier. My friend who had this done years ago said she can hold 1/2 c now. And, from looking at 1/4 c in a bowl 1/2 c seems like quite a bit. Lol! Coming from a woman who could eat an entire steak, baked potato and a salad without batting an eye. Oh I'm so funny. -

LOL! I hear ya! It is difficult knowing when the last safe bite is! I've gurgled up more than once. (Gross!) Now I just get my 1/4 c measuring cup, fill it up and dump it in my bowl. -

I found liquid Tylenol for adults at Wal Mart and Walgreens. Everything you're describing is common. Hang in there! At 30 days it's a LOT better. -

Can't say I don't get hungry. I get hungry every few hours. But at 1/4 cup servings the protein requirement is impossible for me. I don't feel bad though. Water is easy. I sip all day. -

By 30 days you will feel almost normal. I was 30 days yesterday and I can get out of bed easily, walk without discomfort and even sneeze and laugh hard! Hang in there. Still get tired quicker than usual but I know that will pass soon. -

Thanks everyone! I was thinking my surgeon said soft foods at 30 days. Really though I don't know what to do for that that's actually good for me. I guess soup. Chicken does not feel good. Wish I had a recipe book. -

HW 247 CW 222 SD 6/4/14 Down another 2. Finally. Geez I was getting disgusted. 27 total. My ribs are sore this morning. Wonder what's up with that? I didn't do a thing yesterday. Slept only 6 hours last night. -

I think I will cry when I get to onederland. Such a stall. Don't know how it's possible with 1/4 cup food portions. Big sigh. HW 247 CW 224 Surgery date 6/4 -

MarshaPDX get measuring cups. 1/4 cup is all you can handle. I found out the hard way how bad it hurts to go over at all. It looks stupidly small but that's it. I always said the only way I'd ever lose and keep it off was by force. Lol! This is exactly that.
