I love the nectar Protein. The vanilla is amazing! other fav's are the fuzzy navel, strawberry cream, and the caribbean cooler I mix with V8 Light Mango/Tropical and some ice - it's really yummy. Although I cant get an entire down since my surgery.

My doctor told me about a Protein drink "bullet" I havent had time to go to GNC yet but I found a small shot of protein called "protein to go" at the drug store yesterday. It has 28g of protein. It doesn't taste that good, but it's bearable and just a "shot". I hope that helps. I'll let you know if I find anything else - please do the same

I did not have anyone waiting for me at the hospital, so I had to bring my things. They were put in a locker for me when I went into surgery. I was told during pre admission testing that I shouldn't bring anything, but I had no choice. I packed a bag and I had to bring my CPAP machine. Do you have a bag or backpack that you can lock the zipper? That would give you the peace of mind that your wallet is secure. I wish you the best!

Has anyone had throat pain? It's not like a sore throat, it feels like there is a lump at the top of my throat or a big gas bubble and it's super hard to swallow. It isn't constant but it's been coming and going all day A few times this evening it felt like someone punched me in the throat! My neck is even sore on the right side. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience

how are you making out? I wish I could sleep. Generally, I can sleep without a problem, but since surgery 6/10 I'm not sleeping at all. I wish you all the best

Hi honey - hang in there! I'm on day three and feel like I turned a corner. Still a little discomfort, but I'm surprised at how much better I feel today. I have a good friend that went before me and she said that the first week is the hardest, but she never looked back after that. As you probably heard from others you need to walk, walk, walk. I'll walk and then rest and then get up and walk some more. Sip your drinks slowly but stay hydrated. I had a small Protein shake this morning with 10 grams of protein. I was only able to get 1/2 down but I finished it a few hours later. You are going to be ok and even happy with your decision when you get past this. Think of why you did this and tell yourself that it's only a few days to a week of this feeling. I'll pray for you sweetie. You can email me privately if you want to talk

Thank you for your post. I'm two days out of surgery an really uncomfortable. I'm afraid to drink anything- I'm approaching it very carefully... I weighed myself when I got home from the hospital and I weigh more than when I went in 2 days ago! I'm hoping that it is from swelling and the iv fluids.

Hang in there! You can do this. You've come this far. Once he see's how strong you are he may change, but if he doesn't this is your time to shine! Put reminders around the kitchen of why you did this in the first place. At this point you've gone over the hardest hurdle. Maybe you can ask him to keep his junk food in a private place, so that you don't have to be tempted by it. :/
