Yes that's kind if what it's like. I have been sleeping on my side for about a week so I am going to try and stop and see if it's gets better. I may end up just calling my doctor to double check. I am such a worry wort and always dwell on the worst possible outcome!

I had my sleeve done on June 18th and have been doing pretty well pain wise. However, lately I have had a little pain on the sides as well as my belly button which is my largest incision. I don't go back to my doctor for two months so I am unsure of what to do. Is this normal? I started back at work today and am pretty tired. I nanny part time while I go to school (but am out for the summer) so I'm basically just doing household chores, laundry, cooking dinner, etc. I am scared to keep bending if it's hurting me. Anyone have pain three weeks after surgery?

I have been feeling pretty good. I couldn't handle the liquid pain meds the first couple of days but was finally able to stomach them. I feel like I should be walking more than I am. That is my goal today. I am getting fluids in pretty well. My doctor says not to worry about protein as much this first week as staying hydrated so getting my liquid in is key. I got 48 oz + yesterday. I am having some gas pain in my chest still. It can get intense at times and almost make me want to throw up. I too am getting tired of laying on my back. My back is killing me. My incisions are a little sore. Really just the main one in the middle, the biggest one. Hoping my story sounds about normal. I like to overthink things. So to me the soreness inside my stomach that I'm still feeling is a bad sign? Is it?

Good evening everyone! Had my surgery about 9:30 and feeling pretty good. Tired and loopy from the meds. My stomach and incisions are sore but no where near unbearable. Doctor said everything went as good as one could hope for. If everything goes well tomorrow I should get to go home tomorrow evening. Super excited! Sitting up in a chair now. Hope everyone has just as a good day as I had.

I'm not sick of the shakes yet because I'm SO HUNGRY! LOL I've only been on liquids since Tuesday though - have you been on longer? I only had 4 different types of shakes to choose from for the pre-op phase but I get a whole ton of options to choose from for the post-op phase so I figure I'll switch it up afterward. Although the Premier has the most protein so I'll probably still be drinking these to make sure I get my protein in! YES! I am loathing my shakes. It makes it harder knowing I will have to rely on them for my protein weeks after the surgery too. My head is playing mean games with me. All I can think about is all the foods I want. We have this though. We've worked so hard for months to get here, we can do it a few more days! I am a little worried about the day before. I have been told I can't have anything but clear liquids. No shakes. Popsicles and broth are my friends I guess. I have to cut out the veggies and fruits the last 2 days but I can still have the shakes! I think I'd faint if I was restricted to clear liquids - I'm already so weak!!! Yes I went ahead and took that day off of work. I was scared I would not be feeling so great. I plan to get a mani/pedi and sleep!

I am having mine done on the 18th as well. I he a tough time with my liquid diet. I started on 4th as we'll and had some slip ups. I ended up eating that Saturday but have followed it strictly since Sunday. Having some tummy problems today so I hope that means it is working. It is hard but I am just trying to trudge through. I just keep looking through success stories to motivate me. I want to look and feel like that too! I am a little nervous that they will say I didn't do well enough on the diet. Not sure how many lbs I have lost since I started as I forgot to weight that first day. But I have lost about 6 since I did start weighing. I feel like it is more than that in my clothes though. Plus I feel like my face is looking thinner. Good luck to everyone!
