    Banded 2 months ago

    I was banded on 1 November and lost 29 lbs but haven't been doing too well in the last 2 weeks... definitely need more restriction and less head hunger. I have joined the November Nymphs weight loss challenge to lose another 10.7 lbs by 14 February... hope I can get there.
  2. Well everyone, I had the best intentions but only lasted till 6pm today. I had a bad bout of diahaerra (sp) this afternoon and felt off so ended up eating a low fat diet dinner. I also realised that even though I wasn't too hungry through the day I was pretty hungry by the time I got home. Congratulations to those who lasted the duration.
  3. When things get stuck for me, I drink apple juice and it really helps. Sometimes I need to take a few sips but it does the trick... so no PBing for me. Of course I don't know how things will be after my next fill and when I have more restriction.
  4. Once you sort no 1 out, then hopefully it will fix no 3... good luck and keep us posted.
  5. Unfortunately not until the 23rd Cindy... need it sooner than that but can't get in. I am going on protein shakes for 2 days just to get back on track. Glad to hear that you're feeling a little better and losing weight... good one! :whoo::whoo:

  8. Hey Cindy what I'd give for that kind of restriction again. Obviously I don't want to feel sick but maybe you need to eat a little less each time and a little more often. I found when I had restriction that it worked for me to do that.

    I have my second fill coming up on 23 January... and not a moment too soon. You guys are doing great. I can't wait to get some real restriction back so I can get more weight off.

    Feeling Betrayed!

    I told all my family, including cousins, my boss and some workmates but I must say I did start to regret it, especially when some workmates told other workmates and I keep getting comments on being skinny (which I'm not yet) and questions about how I'm going. I know they are being nice but I feel like I'm being watched like a hawk. I told everyone when I went back to work that I was able to eat like a horse over xmas because I don't have a lot of restriction which means no weight loss... that's helped keep them at bay. One thing I've learnt about people is that no matter how much you say keep it to yourself, for some people that means tell one close friend... it's human nature. :rofl:

    They're great aren't they! I have lost 29 lbs so far but fell off the waggon over the holidays... should be at least another 5-10 lbs lighter. I can't wait to lose my next 20 lbs... I know I can do it with the help of the band... best decision I ever made.
  13. Wow Lapbandit, 175 lbs lost... way to go. I fell off the waggon over the holidays but definitely getting back on track... I need a fill but can't get one until 23rd so I'm going to work harder to get more weight off but I know I can do it. GonnaBfree, taking action is always the first step to getting what you want in life and you definitely are heading in that direction. Keep posting because you will get the support you need here, especially at those down times.

    i am staying on plan today because ...

    I'm staying on plan because when I last weighed myself the scales went slightly the other way for the first time since being banded... don't want that to happen again.
  15. I bought my Protein shakes today so I can start in the morning (Australian morning, your night), so I plan to do it Wednesday & Thursday. I too have noticed that most of my over eating has been head hunger because since I've been back at work I am eating much less and also noticing a little more restriction... go figure. I still want to do the shakes because during my little stint, I put on a little weight so I want to get that off el pronto. Good luck to everyone already on it... just goes to show that if we really listen to our bodies, we are not really hungry.
  16. Sounds good to me but I need to buy some more protein shakes so will start one day after you guys. I must say I had a much better day today since I am back at work. My walking came to a halt yesterday and couldn't get motivated to get up early this morning so am determined to do it tomorrow morning no matter what.

    Pain isn't it !! I have also been walking every day which I know has helped but I want to go back to being satisfied on 900 cals and feeling great about how much weight I am losing.

    I so need a 2nd fill.. was doing so well up until the last 2 weeks. Unfortunately discovered I could eat anything I fancy and haven't stopped since. Willpower... now that's a novel word!! :angry
  20. I hate what I've been doing to myself over the holidays. It doesn't help to have very little restriction but I worked out that I can't get off the carb binging at the moment. I would like to join you with sticking with the plan because I'm out of control at the moment. Every day I said I would stick with it and have failed to do so. I'm back at work tomorrow which I know will help but I need to take action. I haven't weighed myself for the last 3 days but my blubbery tummy tells the story. Will be calling for an earlier fill appointment so wish me luck.

    This is great, I need to do something like this. I think it does keep you accountable when you track it. I have been very lax over the holidays. I have walked 50-55 mins every day to make up for the extra food but really I should have lost another 3-4 kgs by now. Back to work & my routine tomorrow so should start losing again.     Sounds a bit iffy to me. Can't he do it under fluo (sp) so he can see where it is?
  25. I was for a while but not over xmas. I just know I have very little restriction and eating too much. I have been walking every day for the last 10 days just to combat it. I also know I am eating out of boredom rather than hunger but can't seem to stop myself. Back to work on Monday so back to a routine.
