  1. Thanks Bandpal, it's great being part of this team! For me, it wasn't quite as severe as hating myself, just wasn't as interested in being out there, especially in the last couple of years. Funnily enough my weight hasn't stopped me going out but I have a different confidence to go with it now.

  3. As Cindy said, you guys are doing great! Walking is my only saviour at the moment. I am still stuck at the same weight so looks like it will have to be the next challenge for me.

    Input please

It was the panic that got me I think. I can see that the tighter I get the less bread I'll be able to eat. I certainly don't want to be too tight that I can't enjoy some of the foods I like but tight enough that it's impossible to eat more than a small amount. I am learning to throw out food rather than eat it all so that's a start to losing my next lot of weight.

It truly is fine balance between being too tight or not tight enough. I have noticed that I am sore after eating since this last fill. I even PBd yesterday. I ate half a small white bread roll with butter... that went down fine but silly me decided to go for the second half and of course it got stuck. I tried drinking some apple juice as I usually do but it wouldn't go down, so I went for a second sip, well of course nothing would go down, not even the juice, it was gurgling in my throat and I thought I was going to choke to death. My sister was there and she yelled at me to throw up, so I put my finger down my throat and it all came back up. I was shaking and crying because I scared myself with the thought that what's if I couldn't throw it up. That's something I never want to experience again. I really have to choose my food better and of course, chew, chew, chew. At least I can't complain about not feeling banded!

Nothing to report Cindy since the only loss I've had is weight I put on after my initial loss after my second operation. Hopefully I will have something to report before the end of the month. What about you?

I must say when I have a busy day I definitely eat much less. I think boredom is our worst enemy when it comes to eating so I agree Judy, get that body busy with anything but food. I will get back to eating off a small plate as well because I have noticed the same thing, the bigger the plate, the more food I put on. Even if I don't always eat the whole lot, the temptation is there. So Foofy you're on, let the challenge begin!

    Nymphs Weight Loss To Date

As I said on Facebook, you look great Judy. I am so ready to get down another 10 lbs but it has been hard. I have been losing the same 2-3 lbs in the last 2 months. I will do another walk today and I'm going to make sure I stick with a good food plan this week so that I can be down another few lbs by the time I get my next fill on 5 Nov. The second half of our weight loss is certainly going to be much harder than the first lot so we must work even harder to get it off.

I agree Bandpal, we've had a great group to work with for the last 11 months. I for one have gained great strength from talking to each and every one of you, no matter what stage everyone is at. Kendra, how are you going? Getting better by the minute I hope!!

    I'm failing, help

Welcome to my world Andrea. I have 4cc in a 10cc band and even though I too get stuck if eat too fast or don't chew enough, I can still eat a fair amount of food and not always the best food at that. I walk for exercise and know that when I hit my sweet spot I will move forward to where I want to be but for now it's hard to eat small amounts when I know I can eat more. Hang in there, it will come and you'll look back at this time with a smile.

    Brrrrr

Glad to hear that your daughter is well Cindy, what a shock that must have been. I'd love to have PS because my boobs have been going South for quite some time and my upper thighs need some major help but the reality is that it's never going to happen... money and fear are 2 good reasons! I will see how bad things get once I get closer to goal but as someone said on here, a good bra can work wonders and at my age not planning to get naked in front of too many people. I miss the Nov Nymphs and our regular chats. It's hard sometimes with all that's happening in our lives and the fact that we are not losing as fast as at the beginning means that most people don't have as much news to tell.

Foofy I think I'm not a normal bandster because of all the problems I've had. I've always been able to eat pretty much anything I want and even now that I've been rebanded I'm still able to eat anything I want, just less of it. I certainly am not at the point of eating only 1 cup of food per meal. I am at 4cc in my 10cc band and if I eat too fast or don't chew very well, I get stuck but after that clears I can eat more. Today for lunch I had 3/4 of a battered fish, some chips and a spoonful of pasta salad... definitely a big meal for a banded person and not a good choice calorie wise (not my usual lunch though). The point is that I can eat heaps but I do feel tight afterwards so it is too much. Seems like my restriction is coming slowly but surely. I have decided that I need to serve myself less food so that I don't end up with that problem too often. I was still full from lunch at dinner so I had a slice of bread with cheese for dinner and a snack later. I am still doing my walks on a regular basis and I know that helps keep me on track. I have another fill on 5 Nov so I'm hoping that one more fill will force me to eat smaller serves. Basically that waffle was about letting you know that you are not the only one who can eat or is a slow loser.

Wow Bandpal, you're doing so well. I'm only now starting to get a reasonable amount of restriction. I'm at 4cc in a 10cc band, so another 1 or 2 should help me get to that sweet spot. I have lost 3 lbs of the 4 lbs I put back on since my second surgery. I can't wait to say I've lost 50 lbs and over!

I can't see a photo except the pretty one of you. I posted photos when I had mine but I can't remember what thread. I have to leave for work shortly (in Australia) but will try and post them again for you later.

    A Warning

Mine started straight after I finished the course of antibiotics. The drs that I saw said that it was not unusual for that to happen. Mine started with a few spots in the morning but by the time I got home from work they were all over my body up to my chin. I saw a dr on the way home but he only gave me cream to put on (dummy). I woke up at 1 am and scared the hell out of myself when I saw my face ... ended up at the hospital where they gave the meds which eventually helped get rid of it. Good luck with getting better and keep us posted.

    A Warning

I had a major allergy attack over xmas last year after taking Keflex antibiotics for a port infection. My whole body was full of welts and my face was swollen to the point of no recognition. It lasted 10 days and it was awful. It sounds like something like that has happened to you. I had to take steroids and Phenergan. It started to go away so I stopped them and it came back with a vengence. I was told by the pharmacist that I should have gone off the steroids gradually so was told to go back on the tablets again. Not a fun experience, so I feel your pain.
  19. Thanks Cindy. It is weird about dress size because I've only gone down 1-2 dress sizes compared to others who have gone down 2-3. I'd like to go down 1 more dress size before xmas.. don't like my chances!

Good on you Steve, what an achievement. We need a little inspiration around here.
  21. Hi Cindy, sorry to hear that you've gained weight. I guess your body is trying to settle at a comfortable weight for you. No doubt you will give it a kick start again when you are less stressed. I'm hoping that my fill on Wednesday will do that for me. I'm going to start back at aqua again as well. I've been walking but I think I need more. Good luck!
  22. Unfortunately for many of us there are hiccups on the way. It doesn't help when we can and do eat the wrong foods and it especially doesn't help when you have to get rebanded. I'm at 3cc on a 10cc band so I'm hoping my next fill will help get some more weight loss happening. Sorry about your doc leaving Dianne, hope the new doc is good.
  23. Thanks Judy. It sounds like you had a great time and I look forward to seeing some photos. What is your Facebook name... Shortgal? PM it to me if you prefer.
  24. Thanks Cindy. I was able to get a fill appointment on the 8th, so only another week to wait. Only a couple of pounds and you should be in the 180s.. you go girl!
  25. The last time I weighed myself I hadn't put anything on but I feel fat this time around so I'm sure I've put on some. Unfortunately my uncle passed away yesterday and his funeral is this Wednesday, the day of my fill, so I will have to change it. Hopefully I won't have to wait another month to have it. I'm hoping they will help me out given my circumstances. Fingers crossed! You'll get to the 180s before you know it. I can't wait to get into the 170s... now that will be an achievement!! Good luck everyone.
