Sad isn't it Aubrie? I must say I noticed I was hungry after aqua even though I had dinner before I went. My class starts at 6.40pm, so I might have dinner afterwards which could help. Is there any way you could pre cook food so it's ready in less time? Maybe you need to eat more through the day so you're not so hungry when you get home. Or carry a healthy snack to eat on the way home. Easy for to make suggestions for others but can't do it myself! I have a bad habit of finishing something even when I'm no longer hungry rather than throw it out which doesn't help. I guess when I have more restriction that will be hard to do. Good luck on getting the weight moving again.

No matter how much I try I can't seem to get past my night time grazing. I had a really good day, went for an hour's walk this morning, had 3 small meals and then went to an aqua aerobics class this evening. Once I settled in for the night, it started. It's 11.30pm and I just ate a piece of cheese on some bread. I had a mango not long before that. It's obvious I'm still not restricted because I can eat anything I want. I'm still doing this with willpower alone and that's only working at certain times of the day. Hopefully all that exercise will have helped but I so desperately want to get the restriction required to lose the weight.

Thanks Steph. I still eat too fast as well and occasionally certain things get stuck.... no PBing though. Despite those moments, I can eat everything and large amounts if I let myself. I just want to be satisfied on small amounts again and it sounds like you are there.

I saw it for the first time just after xmas but then put on a few lbs after the NY... now they're all gone again. Good luck with getting there Sue.

Well I took the bull by the horns and called for my 3rd fill and it's next Tuesday morning. I couldn't wait another 3 weeks for a fill, I don't want to struggle through this... no point in having the operation if I have to constantly use willpower to get through. Hopefully another 1cc or so should get things going. In the last week & a half, I lost the 4 lbs I put on over the holidays, so I'm very happy about that. Need the restriction to get the next 10 lbs off.

50 lbs, great work txarcher. -
This morning I was hovering between 199.7 & 200.2 lbs... hopefully I will be down right under by the end of the week.

Good luck guys with your new restriction. Hope you've reached your sweet spot.

Looks like many of us are going through the same thing Linda. We have to find whatever works for us... I'm definitely still a work in progress. When I've fully worked it out, I'm sure the weight will just fall off again. Soon I hope! Good luck.

Glad to hear that you're back on track. I know how you feel about losing the same weight over again. I lost 35 lbs 3 years ago and ended up putting 3/4 of it back on. The band helped me lose it again so hopefully I will keep it off forever. Good luck getting the rest off.

Sorry Shortgal but once I started eating again I realised I could eat anything and that's made it harder to give some things up. I did so much better today, mainly because I went out tonight and wasn't hanging around the house. Now if only we could getit so we both eat less and exercise more. Let's see how we go.

Thanks for your suggestions. Hard lollies could work for sure... definitely take longer to eat than any of the food I snack on. Popcicles made out of Protein drinks, now that's a great idea, especially since I'm not a big meat eater. Will try both. PS: I still took off 1 lb overnight so imagine how much I can lose if I stop the extras. The exercise I did yesterday definitely paid off. :rolleyes2:

I'm sad to say that I have eaten pizza and licorice without any problem... not lately but when I was going crazy over the holidays. I love licorice, especially the really soft stuff. My doc put 3cc last fill so I'm sure he would put another 1.5cc next time around. If not, I would be happy with another 1cc. In the meantime, I will continue to watch what I eat and keep up with the exercise.

Sounds to me like you are still swollen from the surgery. I didn't feel hungry until about 6 weeks out. I'm sure by the time you get your fill, you will be ready for it.

Fantastic achievement. I still have some old clothes from when I was younger and slimmer (never been skinny)... can't wait to try them on when I get to that point. Good on you!!

It is hard for sure. I wish I never tried eating some of the stuff I can eat because now nothing scares me. I could eat a horse as long as I could drink apple juice to help it slide down if it gets stuck... wow that image could put me off food for life... all that meat!! :rolleyes2: I'm at 5cc at the moment. Started off thinking that I had restriction but that didn't last for long. The impression I get from some posts is that 6.5cc seems to do the trick... here's hoping! Good luck with your fill.

This makes a lot of sense Shortgal. I always have Breakfast at work rather than at home so by the time I have it, it's usually around 10am. I then have lunch at 1pm or so. I will definitely try to keep my cals to a minimum to have that night time snack. What I need to do is split the snack so it lasts for most of the night... hopefully I will lose interest or fall asleep before I finish it. I will experiment with it in the next few days. I will be calling my doctor's office today to book some time for another fill... hopefully 6-7cc will be my sweet spot. I think we'll jump with joy when that finally happens for all us Nov bandsters!

Thanks Sue. I find it hard to sleep early but you're right, choosing the low fat foods is the way to go. I usually try to do that but I was really hungry and felt I needed something more substantial tonight. I'll have to lock my bedroom door from the outside in future!! :rolleyes2:

I can feel your frustration because I'm in the same boat as you... 5cc in a 10cc band. Had restriction for a couple of days and now I'm back to eating what I want. Of course I try not to but it's not easy. I need the restriction to keep me on track otherwise I may as well call this another failed diet. That said, I know from my research and talking to people that another fill or two and I should be there. I am very happy that I lost 29 lbs in the first 6-7 weeks... this previously took at least 4-6 months to do. I just want to get the next lot off to keep me motivated. Hang in there, I'm trying to.

Happy belated Australia Day from Sydney... missed this thread over the weekend. I agree Danna, someone finally woke up to the fact that we are part of Australia & should get the extra day! :tt1: -
Hospital Experience(s)
Sades replied to cierra'sgrandma's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I stayed 2 nights, 1 of which was in ICU (standard for my doctor). I'm glad I was there the first night... they really looked after me with the pain & nausea meds but I was so ready to go home by the next night. Hated the bed and didn't get a wink of sleep. Breathed a sigh of relief when I finally got to lay on my own bed. :tt1::biggrin2: -

Hi! New here looking for some advice
Sades replied to luckycharm830's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I haven't experienced this in a big way but it sounds like you need to see your doctor asap if you are bleeding. Can you get to your local hospital to get it checked out? -
Congratulations everyone... this is just the beginning of your great journey. Good luck!
